We made the right decision booking at the Driftwood Cottage! Laurie was easy to communicate with and kind. The location doesn’t get much better than this….a quiet neighborhood with beautiful sunrises. It was easy for us to take a day trip into Mobile or Dauphlin Island. The cottage is decorated in shabby chic and comfy. Thank you for sharing your special place!
Beautiful location on Mobile Bay! You can watch the sunrise.Location is convenient for downtown Mobile and day trips to Pensacola and Biloxi. The cottage is comfortable, but needs updating.
Would have never guessed that there was a cottage on Mobile Bay when you enter the neighborhood. Very quiet with a fantastic view of the bay. Sunroom was perfect for coffee everyday. Visiting for our niece's wedding. Absolutely perfect. Thanks for having us!
We had the perfect experience with this property and host! The cutest cozy vintage mobile bay hideaway. It had everything we needed, we highly recommend!
Loved this property so much. The sunroom looking at the bay was amazing!!! Fell in love with Fairhope, such an easy drive from the VRBO.
Laurie is an excellent hostess. Would highly recommend!!!
The cottage has a great view of Mobile Bay. Very quite. Quite street. That house very very clean and we had everything we needed.
We would like to come back!
The house was wonderful. Laurie had the house stocked with all necessities. It is the perfect place to come back to after a busy day. The neighborhood was very quiet especially since we stayed July 4th weekend. We could see fireworks from multiple directions across the bay. My son was able to fish nightly and theres a bait shop a few minutes away. I would certainly book this house again!
I loved sitting in the screened in porch/sunroom watching the water. I have so many pictures of the moon and the sun over the water. Sunrises were so beautiful. Everything about this place was relaxing. Bathroom is a bit small, but it was clean and well stocked.
We will be back for sure. It was such a pleasant stay. we found a vegetable stand down the road and I cooked in the fully stocked kitchen. Enjoyed our stay.
We had a relaxing time at this cottage with a great view of the bay and our 9 year old boxer mixed felt right at home. The cottage was in a great location to take day trips to Dauphin Island Al, Gulfport MS, Freehope Al, and Foley AL. The cottage was clean and quiet and we watched Netflix in the evenings to relax.
My husband and I enjoyed a 3-day stay in this unique, peaceful, and relaxing cottage. Our favorite time was spent in the sunroom, enjoying soft breezes wafting through the screen windows being stirred by the overhead fan while we watched cargo ships, sail boats, and shrimp boats gliding across the bay out in the distance, and pelicans dive bombing the water with big splashes. We got up early enough to view two beautiful sunrises. Laurie is a great hostess who went out of her way to make sure the place was clean, stocked with fresh linens and paper supplies, and welcoming for our visit. The sheets and duvets on the bed were clean and we slept well in the bed. The bathroom was small but the water pressure for showers was good.
Cottage was very clean and had everything we needed for a weekend stay. The sunroom looked out onto the Mobile Bay and the neighborhood was peaceful and quiet. My only complaint is that there were no outside lights so, it was dark getting back at night. The host was very friendly and communicative. Overall a great experience!
A feeling of warmth and comfort came upon us the moment we walked inside the cottage. Laurie made sure that we felt welcome. The cottage was older, with charm. The sunroom was where we were 90% of our time, watching shorebirds and ship traffic. We will definitely be back, God willing!
My aunt and cousin wanted a weekend getaway to be able to relax and catch up. This was the perfect place for that. The host went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and for the home to meet our needs. I will definitely be back to this location!
As advertised property with everything needed for a stay on the gulf coast. Host (Laurie) was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to anything we needed. Check-in/out process was easy and painless. Would easily recommend for anyone wanting or needing a place to stay in this area.
The view of the bay was amazing and it was centrally located to all the places we wanted to go. There was a park and a pier within walking distance which was really nice! The house itself had a few things in it that need repaired or replaced. There are not many dishes there so it would have been nice to also have something to wash them with besides just the dishwasher. Laurie was great and her checking in and out process was very smooth! She also left a nice and informative letter for us.
We enjoyed our stay at Driftwood cottage. The view of the bay across the street was wonderful to wake up to and the host Laurie was very sweet and accommodating. The house was an older house that reminded you of being at grandma's house.
