This property was overall comfortable with a few maintenance issues that need some attention. Communication with management and check in process was smooth. I would recommend this property
This was a good base camp for our bike Riding. We were .6 miles from the Tucson Loop. The house had everything we needed, laundry, good cooking and eating spaces and a garage for the bikes.
Neighborhood location close to freeway for getting around. Older home with full kitchen. Beds are very small and need replacement. People definitely smoke here.
This was our first time using a service like Vrbo. The first property we found was canceled by that host two weeks prior to our arrival. We scrambled to find another place and spent an unexpected $500 more.
The place we chose however was a nicer place with a great host. The house was comfortable, clean, and was pretty much perfect for our needs. The host was very accommodating when an incoming storm forced us to move our entire trip up by a day. Communication was quick and clear. We appreciated the garage and the little things like a bags game for the grass portion of the backyard as well as the video game system.
We would highly recommend this property and certainly the host!
Great property, feels like home. Very accommodating. Serene and tranquil backyard. Great location makes it easy to get anywhere. Our first Vrbo stay, Thank you for the experience!!
We are a family of 6 adults and one 3-year-old. Beds were very comfortable & there was a foam bed topper for use as extra bedding. The location was very convenient for us. We appreciated the comfort of the family room and the full-size table. The kitchen was very well furnished; the host even provided coffee for the Keurig. Safeway and Silverbell Golf Course are close by. We loved El Beto, near Safeway, for their huge, delicious burritos.
Lovely, clean home in a safe, quiet neighborhood, but…
We enjoyed our stay here very much. The yard was perfect for our two dogs, the neighborhood felt safe and was close to all the places we wanted to visit. Jim was easy to contact and quick to respond. The only issue was the requirement of PetScreening.com for our dogs, notifying us 3 days before check-in. This is a screening service designed for long term rentals, requesting detailed information about my dogs (vaccine records, microchip number, vet name and address), and personal info such as home insurance policy, plus agreement to such policies such as dna testing for dog droppings found on the property! If you have a pet, I recommend you contact the manager about this requirement before making your reservation. You may decide you do not want not to submit so much personal information to an outside company.
There was adequate rom for we two couples. The premises were clean and a locking garage was a bonus. As foodies, we found the kitchen short of some essentials for meal preparation, but we are resourceful and managed quite well. The most distressing discovery the first morning was the absence of a traditional coffee pot. (there was a Kuerig maker with only 2 pods). We went out and purchased one and coffee for our use. We imagine that the lack of basic kitchen cupboard amenities, found in previous Home away stays, was most likely Covid related!!
All in all the house was nicely fit-up, clean and we would stay there again.
After checking in it was evident the house was in the middle of getting cleaned but the cleaning crew wasn’t there. James was fast in responding to us and got the crew back 3-4 hours after we checked in. Not confident the cleaning crew finished like they normally would as there was plenty for us to clean after they left. This should not have happened and why I gave 2 stars for cleanliness. In addition, there were plenty of things that have been neglected which I was disappointed to learn. The washing machine smelled so I bought Affresh, the vacuum cleaner filter was beyond disgusting and the vacuum wasn’t working well so I bought a new filter... things like this that made it difficult to feel the house was taken care of properly. I ended up buying several items for the house (measuring cups, rugs, new dust Pan, new toilet bowl brush, and lots more) to help enhance the house. Some of this could be considered preference, however, if someone is living there for long periods of time like us they are necessary. We inquired about getting a propane tank and James was happy to get one, however, we ended up buying it ourselves and getting reimbursed because it took over 2 weeks to get. Other than the aforementioned items, the stay was pleasant!! The neighborhood felt safe and people were friendly when we saw them on walks. The price of the rent seems appropriate and would recommend this house, assuming some simple things are buttoned up.
We had a very pleasant stay in Tucson. The vrbo we had was very nice, clean and quiet. On the down side was the communications between us and the property manager. His replays were not in a timely fashion which then created confusion on our end. There was no in house information regarding the how toes of the house. We needed to contact the manager several time to get things straightened out. Improvement is needed. Would we stay at this location again, yes with hope the small items are improved on.
