First of all the place we originally rented was not available so the host offered us another property for our stay. The place was dirty and needed some repairs to a few things.
Firstly the front door did not lock. Which was a safety and security issue. I worked with vrbo on this and they gave me partial credits. I stayed one night and did not feel safe. Windows were left unlocked. Broken furniture and dirty dishes in the back yard. Rust in the freezer. Broken lights. Jt goes kn yard.yrust inthe freezer
We had the worst experience on our family vacation ever. The host canceled our reservation 6 hours before the check-in. We end up without any place to stay. It destroyed my New Year plans to enjoy with my family.
My stay here was exactly what I needed. All I wanted was no problems and a beautiful place and I got it. I needed a day away from the world
- the serenity of this place, the beautiful kitchen and the colonial look was what I needed. The owner took care of all my needs before hand. Wise choice I made.
I was very pleased with this property. very clean and well maintained. The property manager was very responsive and great to work with.
The location was very close to many top-end restaurants to choose from and close to the beach.
I look forward to rebooking Casa de David and staying for a longer period of time to take more advantage of the benefits of the area in a home that was clean and comfortable.

Cute house, but...
House was cute and clean, nice location, but arrival instructions were not clear (we had to go to back door). After entering, discovered that what appeared to be a brand new oven was not operational, nor were ANY of the outlets in the kitchen, rendering the kitchen useless (refrigerator did work). Dishwasher had stagnant, pungent water in the bottom and top rack had fallen due to disintegrated rollers. Host voicemail was full, sent message via app. Host replied that property manager would be by within an hour. Property manager "fixed" the issues by pouring chlorine into dishwasher (which meant we had to open windows until smell dissipated), and using an extension cord to power the oven and the toaster oven. He mentioned that an electrician would be by to install a breaker after our stay. Because of this, we used an oven at a relative's house. On the second day, the front door knob came off in my hand. Property manager returned and stated that it did not pose a security risk since there was a deadbolt and he would repair after our stay. Also, due to a previous review regarding unlocked windows, we checked upon arrival and all downstairs windows were again unlocked. It does not appear that regular maintenance is a priority for the host.
The owner double booked the property. Luckily we got ther first but the other people who booked it actually climbed in through an unlocked window while we were out. Then we realized almost all of the windows were open. Scary and upsetting. When the property owner finally text us he offered no remorse about the experience.
