"Angie" sits in a private setting at the highest point at Bidwell Canyon Farm. She has stunning views of the Warner Mountains, the dry lake beds of the Surprise Valley, and BCF's vibrant pastures and creek corridor below. Angie is equipped to sleep 3, with 2 organic cotton memory foam twin beds in the rear, and a not-so-comfortable fold-out couch in the front. The sounds of birdsong and running water fill the air during the day only to be replaced by frogs singing under a dark sky at night.

Wow, what an amazing experience! Not a luxury place, but so unique! The family at the farm are welcoming and friendly, and the surroundings are peaceful and quiet, a great place to renew your soul. And the stars are amazing! Very little light pollution allows you to see the Milky Way!
We chose this rental location to take photos of the night sky, and even with a quick storm burst one night, the Milky Way was visible along with so. many. stars. Brian and Leah were very welcoming; all of the check-in and check-out processes went smoothly, and they were available on-site to answer questions. The airstream is well-organized and had everything we needed; you just have to be ready for a small space! Ft. Bidwell is close to many adventuring spots, so we had fun exploring. If you're self-sufficient with food and other basic needs, and you welcome an organic farm atmosphere with friendly people and pets, visit Bidwell Canyon Farm!

TL;DR Skies were dark. This place was great. Will be coming back again.
My wife and I were looking for a place to get away and get under some dark skies for astrophotography. Bidwell Canyon Farm provided everything we needed and more.
Our host provided all of the details we needed ahead of time. This was great since cell signal is spotty in that region. When we arrived, Angie the Airstream was set up to make our stay comfortable. Cell service may have been weak but WiFi was strong.
About 50 feet away from the Airstream is a complete RV power panel. With the NEMA 14-50 adapter and Tesla mobile charger our “tank” was full every morning ready for exploring if we wanted to do so. No range anxiety.
The ambassadors of the farm are two sweet dogs Penny and Luca. Our host offered to keep them up by the house, but we declined. We loved that they would check in with us from time to time as if to make sure all our needs are being met.
At night the skies were dark and clear. (Bortle 2 for us space nerds) It was a new moon and I was picking up zodiacal light. I could see Andromeda Galaxy with my bare eyes. I had my 100ft extension running from the Airstream’s external power out to my astrophotography rig. Very handy! Didn’t have to lug around the lithium battery pack.
As an aside, the farm produce was fresh and delicious!
Brian is an excellent host and we want to thank him and his family for sharing their farm with us. It was the highlight of our trip.
