Come stay in our cozy, southern cottage just two blocks from Downtown Opelika! Located in the Northside Historic District, “The Greenhouse” is a guest cottage built to accompany our Folk Victorian home and was completely restored and updated in 2022.

You'll feel right at home in this “shotgun” style house that features original 100+ year old heart pine walls and ceilings, a full kitchen, fast internet, and its own private deck. Enjoy Opelika’s many microbreweries and restaurants just steps away, or take an 18 minute drive to experience an Auburn Tigers game. Play like a Tiger at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail or pick up a game of Pickleball at the world class covered courts nearby at the Opelika Sportsplex.

Join in on the festivities! During the holidays, this home is located on the renown Victorian Front Porch Tour that features dozens of life size mannequins dressed in historic Christmas attire.

Adorable cottage

This was our second stay in this adorable cottage, and it won't be our last. The cottage is even lovelier in person than the photos indicate. It's cozy, comfortable and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. The location is perfect in a beautiful neighborhood, and within walking distance to the downtown attractions.

Hidden Gem

Great place to stay when visiting Opelika. It was nice to have a little house of your own and very private so close to downtown. The hosts were great and communicated well. Would definitely recommend.

Early Thanksgiving in Opelika!

We truly enjoyed our stay! This is our second time staying and we will be back. The property is absolutely charming. Comfortable, quaint, nicely appointed and close to Auburn. We walked to church, walked to downtown, visited the breweries, had breakfast at "the Well" (amazing coffee), enjoyed Saturday morning's car show in the main square, and did some shopping. We also cooked Thanksgiving dinner for our son and his friend. We had a fantastic time. Thank you so much for making you home available to us!!

Weekend stay

The cottage is even better in person than the pictures indicate. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed for our weekend visit. The location is great- walkable to downtown or a stroll around the quaint neighborhood. We are already planning to stay here again!

Great Spot

The cottage is a great place to stay. It has been beautifully renovated and is very clean. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to downtown Opelika restaurants & throughout the Historic District residential neighborhood. The hosts responded right away when we asked them about restaurants before our trip. We’d definitely stay there again!

Quaint and convenient

Easy reservation, check in and checkout. A Perfect size cottage style house for 2-3 people. Very clean and Has everything you need. Short Walking distance to everything in downtown Opelika. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Couple's Weekend Get-away

This was a very charming and cozy cottage. Small yet roomy, in a quiet neighborhood within an historic district. Very conveniently located close to restaurants and shopping. The cottage had everything we needed including kitchen essentials and a very comfortable bed. We enjoyed our stay immensely and hope to come back.
