Awesome Lake Retreat

Great place to get away and enjoy the lake. Great view of the water. Lots of things to entertainā€¦arcade games, ping pong, kayaks, covered boathouse, fire pit. Very reasonable pricing. Renter was very responsive. Would definitely book again.

Birthday getaway

Adorable home with an amazing view proved to be the perfect way to spend a weekend getaway. We needed a central spot for hiking and fly fishing and this location was perfect!

Memorial Day week vacation

This was a great house on smith lake. Beautiful view and great dock to fish and swim off of. We kayaked, swam and caught a few bass from the dock. Great week!

Perfect location with great view

We have rented 4 different houses on this lake and each house had benefits but this one was our favorite. The location was great. Slope to lake incredible. My 82 year old dad loved all the details in the house. My kids and I loved the deck.

Waterfront getaway !

Nice getaway

It was a lovely retreat on the lake for our family. Located between Huntsville and Birmingham gave us nice day-trip opportunities. There isnā€™t a dishwasher but paper plates were provided for the nights we didnā€™t want to do dishes.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had a wonderful time here, the cabin was really cute and plenty of space for our family and dogs. The porch was wonderful to sit out on and have morning coffee, looking at the lake. The dock was great to swim from, and we brought our 20' boat as well - the boat ramp is a bit of a drive though, so just plan for that. Overall we had a wonderful weekend.

Relaxing Weekend Away

Amazing place to stay for the weekend! Great porch to hangout on and eat meals between trips to the dock and playing in the lake. Brought all our groceries with us and didnā€™t leave the whole weekend! It was a very relaxing and restorative weekend for our family.

This was our first time to vacation on a lake and Smith Lake did not disappoint! Crystal clear water, and relaxing, serene setting. The house was perfect! It had the integrity of an old fashion lake house with modern amenities. The owner was so accommodating! We will be back!!

Perfect Vacation

We had a wonderful stay at this lake house. Everything was clean, comfortable, and very accommodating. We enjoyed swimming on the dock, dinner around the large upstairs patio table and had the most perfect spot to see the sunset. Plenty of space for 2-3 families and exceeded our expectations of how nice, still being pet friendly. Looking forward to many future trips back at this spot!

Perfect spot! An update on pots and pans and a more substantial coffee maker are needed. The deck needed a good sweeping. Everything else was great and well stocked!

My family and my brotherā€™s family enjoyed this house so much. There were a total of 7 people and we never felt cramped. The lake is one of the cleanest and clearest I have ever seen. Swimming off the dock or rocks on the shore was amazing. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful property

It was beautiful and they had everything you needed. My family and I rented here for a wedding that was a few miles away. We went kayaking everyday and ate breakfast, lunch and dinner on the deck enjoying the view. We loved it and canā€™t wait to go back. Was able to get a hold of the owners if we needed anything.

Wonderful Long Weekend at a Great Place

House was quaint and cozy. Very relaxing. The deck is magnificent! A little more furniture on the deck could make it even better. We will definitely be going back. The dogs had a ball. Boat dock is great. It was easy to get from boat ramp to house.

Why they chose this property

Though we live and work in Nashville, TN, the beauty of the northern Alabama lake area has appealed to us for years. This home offers our family a retreat where we can disconnect and focus on the family and the outdoors.

What makes this property unique

Many of the homes on Smith Lake require A LOT of steps to get to the water. We love being able to reach our dock with few or no steps (depending on your route!).
