Cute cabin, but needs improvement

The description on the website for size, location and amenities is on point; the cabin is cute & the size is perfect for 2-3 people; the view of the creek & around the cabin is also very nice and relaxing. However, the cabin needs some serious TLC. Linens & towels were in good condition & clean. But bed coverings & pillows, patio furniture, bedroom carpet, and dresser need replacement; there were only about 5 crappy hangers; cabinets surface have too much wear & tear; the inside of the hot tub cover was dirty (but we still used it); no firewood provided, unless you order prior to your arrival and pay 45. Overall, this cabin has great potential if given some TLC. This is just a rental property for income and not necessarily a personal home so the personal touches and care for the property lacks greatly.

Relaxing

Everything is exactly as advertised. Much better than staying in a hotel. Cabin is close to town, but feels much more remote. I would definately rent again. We had an amazing stay.

Suggestions

We really liked the quiet and secluded area. The deck and fire pit overlooking the creek were amazing. The cabin needs updating. The furniture is old, cheap and worn. The ceiling fan in the bedroom will not work with the light off, the carpet is extremely worn with rips and tears. There were no stoppers for the kitchen sink and no shelf in the shower for soap, shampoo, etc. Some very inexpensive updates would result in a very charming place.

Great cabin, great location!

Amy's 1 was a great spot, as advertised, and better. Very close to Helen and the wedding venue we attended. Nice low key local vibe. We will definitely stay again.

Quiet Retreat

The cabin was very nice. There was plenty of towels, dishes, pots n pans, and silverware. ( I mention this because I had read this was an issue in the past). We only used the king size bed which was very firm. The upstairs bathroom could use a blind. The back porch where the hot tub is, is very dark at night. The back porch light is very dim. The walk down to the creek is steep but worth the walk, its very beautiful. Even though there are neighbors, it did not feel like it.

Peaceful Getaway

Very close to Helen, GA and wineries but far enough away for peace and quiet. Home is great for 2 couples or a family with teenagers. Very clean.

Nice cabin, horrid nights sleep

The cabin was in a great location with easy access. Road was nice and not to steep. It was perfect for a family vacation. On arrival the heat pump was off and it was about 50°in the cabin. Main floor bathroom was nice and roomy. Shower was nice and big but definitely needed a shelf for soaps and shampoos. There was nothing and we had to put soaps and shampoos on the floor. Water was hot and had a nice flow. Upstairs bath could use an exhaust fan and definitely could use a blind or curtain in the window. Especially since this bathroom window is level with the driveway and passing neighbors. Bed rooms were nice. Upstairs bedroom could use nightstand. However, all matresses were worn out! Very uncomfortable. Kitchen was adequately stocked. Living room furniture was nice, comfortable, and clean. Large washer and drier. Loved the fire pit at night. Make sure to get wood. Never used the hot tub but it looked clean and well maintained. Would rent again only if they had new mattresses.
