Welcome to Willow Island! This lakefront loft style cabin is a new build, boasting incredible views with a lagoon on one side, perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding or bird watching and Lake Winnipeg on the other side where you can walk the beach, swim, fish or have a lakeside fire.
The cabin is floor to ceiling windows facing the lake with tons of natural light and incredible views! It is for year round living and the lake is in your front yard giving easy access for ice fishing as well.
Two bedrooms (double/single bunk) (double bed) on the main floor along with a well-appointed bathroom with shower and tub for soaking. The kitchen has stainless steal appliances including dishwasher and island seating. The dining room brings stunning views of the lake with a farm table and seating for 6. Open concept allows for easy socializing, with a woodstove fireplace in the living room for cool nights.
Walk upstairs to find a reading nook, where you can curl up with a book and take in the amazing view from the second floor. A loft den, is perfect for watching TV, playing games (provided) or simply listening to some music curled up in a blanket on the comfy leather furniture.
The massive Master bedroom on the second floor has a balcony that overlooks the lagoon, perfect for watching the sunsets. A cute coffee bar, with a Keurig and bar fridge where you can grab a cold drink and take in the west sun on the balcony. A second full bathroom with tile shower is also found in the master bedroom.
Willow island is s secluded community that is on a causeway less than 10 minutes from the bustle of Gimli. Don’t feel like cooking? There are numerous great restaurants and coffee shops in the town of Gimli along with a Sobey’s, Co-op, Liquor Mart and Rona in case you forgot anything. Gimli boasts a fishing pier and marina and many local artisan shops in their business district.
Get away from it all and come experience lakeside living in this amazing property.

Beautiful cottage with lovely beach

The cottage was clean, modern, well equipped, and attractive. The beach was sandy, and the yard site, including the fire pit was appropriate and enjoyed by everyone from a five year old to 72 year old grandparents.

Relaxing Luxury

We had a wonderful stay at Willow Island. The cabin is beautifully decorated and spacious. All needs are anticipated from coffee machine to thick beach towels to soft beds. All we had to bring were swimsuits and food. We loved the outdoor seating, fire pit, sandy beach and ability to launch kayaks from the house. We were busy every day with kayaking, walking, games and exploring the town. Thank you for a wonderful summer getaway. We will definitely return.

Wonderful Beach Experience

Beautiful tastefully decorated, comfortable cottage with lots of room for family to gather. The beach was expansive and sandy, perfect for swimming, building sandcastles and kayaking. Everything we were hoping for. We are already thinking about returning next summer.

Perfect Lake Getaway!

We spent a week at the cabin and had a fabulous time. The cabin has everything you need and is spacious and clean. Having a doshwasher was a nice touch in a cabin, not always easy to find and saved time in the evenings not having to stand at the sink and clean up. The real star for us was the outdoor space. There is a large back lawn, great for lawn games, bonfires, or just lounging around. Stairs lead down to the beach. We travelled with our 18 month old who had tons of room to roam and play safely. The beach is a bit rocky so consider bringing water shoes. Town of gimli is only 5 minutes away and made for great outings to the pier or to get lunch or ice cream. Heidi and Jason were very easy to communicate with throughout our stay.

There’s so much to say about our stay here but I’ll simply put, most enjoyable! Our hosts were ever so kind, reliable and great with communication. All you need to worry about is bringing your own food and personal items, otherwise everything is taken care of. We will definitely be looking forward to another stay in the future. This property is a dream spot from its location to its interior. The home is fully stocked with all you need. I didn’t realize there was no internet or I would have downloaded more on my Kindle. We just came from the east coast where we were invigorated by the ocean. We called Lake Winnipeg a focean and enjoyed listening to the lap of the waves on the beach. When we arrived we hadn’t received the door code so that was a bit frustrating trying to access the property but otherwise we appreciated the time spent in Gimli.

Piece of Paradise

The cottage was beautiful and the beach was also very beautiful. A few very small issues arose and the property managers reacted quickly to fix the problems. I would definitely book this property for next summer. My elderly parents stayed with me, and they would have appreciated grab bars on the tub. The only negative was the barbeque needed a good cleaning. But I don't want to leave on a negative, this cottage and beach were beyond beautiful! And its super close to Gimli if you need to do some shopping. Thank you to the owner and property manager!!

Family summer paradise

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at this prime location. Family dropped to make it a memorable time. The accommodations and open concept were amazing. The private beach was great for swimming and kayaking. Close to the town of Gimli for touring and provisions. We'll be back!

This property is simply amazing. The view is stunning, it has great amenities. The cabin is way more beautiful than it looks in the pictures. My family and I had a wonderful time there. My kids didn't want to leave and are already asking to go back.Lol

Great location.. can fish.. swim… outdoor fire. Beautifully decorated and the nicest I’ve stayed at, and I have rented at least 10 cabins before. Many air conditioners to keep you cool. And a breathtaking view! Thanks Jason and Heidi Will definitely rent again.

Beautiful Lakefront Getaway

This gem on Willow Island is one of my favourite lakefront rentals. Heidi the hostess is easy to communicate with and truly wants you to be happy with your stay. The views are beautiful! The cabin is fairly new and is very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and so are personal items such as shampoo & conditioner, and there are lots of towels. The queen size bed in the master bedroom was very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this rental and wouldn’t hesitate to return!
