With a great layout featuring all rooms on a single level, it is perfect for 1-2 families, or up to 10 guests. The living room welcomes you with soaring ceilings and expansive windows on both sides that frame the gorgeous woodland scenery. Gather in the open living area, complete with comfortable seating and a gas fireplace in a statement mantle. On either side of the living room, you can step outside via sliding glass doors to access the front deck or backyard.

Prepare meals in the kitchen, a chef’s paradise with industrial burners, a Wells griddle, a beverage fridge, and a full range of appliances! The well-equipped kitchen makes meal preparation a breeze, and the adjoining dining area is perfect for enjoying meals with your group, offering seating for up to 10. On chilly winter days, you will love stepping into the indoor sauna to warm up or enjoying a cozy movie night in the TV room with a 70” Smart TV.

When you are ready to call it a night, the home includes 4 comfortable bedrooms spread across two wings of the house, providing added privacy. The master bedroom is tucked at the back of the home for a peaceful retreat with a king-size bed, a wood-burning fireplace, a small couch, and a workspace. On this side of the home, there is also the 2nd bedroom with a queen bed, a workspace, and plenty of storage room. A full bath with a bathtub/shower combo is near these 2 bedrooms for shared use. On the other wing of the home are the 2 bunk rooms. The 3rd bedroom features 3 twin beds, including a twin-over-twin bunk bed that is great for kids to share. The 4th bedroom boasts a twin-over-twin bunk bed and a twin trundle bed! A 2nd full bath with a spacious walk-in shower is near these bedrooms.

Situated near Soda Springs, the oldest operating ski area in California, this home is your gateway to multiple ski resorts with 3 resorts within 10 miles of the home. After a day of adventures, warm up by the gas fireplace or relax in the private sauna. Enjoy woodland views from the backyard, and prepare meals in the well-equipped chef's kitchen!

The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with your every need and offers stainless steel appliances and a wonderful griddle which is great for the aspiring chef...make pancakes in the morning to steaks at night. Our home is comfortably furnished. We keep it very clean and everything is up to date. There is no carpeting.

There is also a 4 night min stay for Thanksgiving and Winter holidays, including Christmas and New Year’s.

There are 4 bedrooms. One with a king bed and another with a queen. The other 2 rooms are by a sitting room with flat screen tv. Those rooms each have bunk beds and both can sleep 3. One has a twin bunk bed set and a separate twin bed. The other has a full bed below and a twin bunk above.

We have a two car garage and parking spaces in front of our home. Snow plowing in the winter is included. We are located within five minutes from Sugar Bowl Ski Resort and Donner Summit, and approximately 20 minutes to Squaw Valley, Alpine, and Northstar Ski Resorts plus thirteen miles to Lake Tahoe! Squaw Valley and North Star Resorts also have pools, ice skating, and spa facilities.

The Neighborhood: Getting Around:

The home is tucked off HWY 80, making it easy to quickly get onto the highway and access the surrounding areas. While there is no public transportation nearby, you can drive to the town of Truckee, 14 minutes away, where you will find bus routes that will take you to Northstar Ski Resort, Kings Beach, and Tahoe City. With 3 ski resorts less than 10 miles away, you can quickly be on the slopes. For those looking for a bit more city life, both Tahoe City and Kings Beach are under a 30-minute drive away.

In the summer enjoy the public West End beach of Donner Lake, just a 10 minute walk away or short drive. There is access to public piers so you can sit on sunny days and soak in the stunning views of Donner Lake. The ceilings are soaring with tree views from every window. There are picnic tables, playground areas, and a beach volleyball court. There are also numerous public docks where you can try your hand at fishing or just be lazy and catch some sun.

Slightly closer, a 5 to 10 minute walk away (0.3 miles), is the private homeowners beach. Unfortunately, this beach is no longer available to our renters.

If you are more adventurous, there are numerous places all over Tahoe to hike, rent boats, kayaks, jet skis, and bikes. A fun activity to try also is tubing down Truckee River.

The closest supermarket is Safeway in Truckee. It is 5.4 miles from the house. There is also a small local market if you don't want to leave the lake area. It is about 3 miles from the house on main road along the north side of the lake, at 13710 Donner Pass Rd.

We are located within five minutes to downtown Truckee, where you can enjoy shopping and dining in the quaint historic town. Or venture further to Tahoe City, or even at the newly opened Ritz Carlton at North Star. Add the Reno nightlife and entertainment, and International Airport are just thirty five minutes away...What more could you need? Come and enjoy our beautiful home. Your home away from home.

Parking: Guests will also have access to 3 parking places, 1 in the garage and 2 in the driveway in front of the garage.
