Good escape

House was nice. Has a ton of stairs so if those are difficult for you, choose another home. Local vacation rental company reimbursed us for the blender on the listing that wasn’t there. So we bought a Ninja blender and hopefully it is still there for future renters. Oven was broken when we arrived and the unit has no grill nor crockpot so we had to freeze our groceries until the oven repair was complete on day 11 of our stay. Some windows had broken crank outs and that was never addressed during our stay but hopefully will be some day. And the plate in the microwave doesn’t rotate but no one believed us on that so it may not get addressed. The master bedroom has a light/fan combo that can only be used if you don’t mind having the hall light on all night while trying to sleep. This is because a single switch controls the hall light and the fan/light chandelier in the master. We relied on floor fans instead. The air purifier was nice.

Nice townhouse

We enjoyed staying in this newly updated townhouse. It has all the basics, even dog bowl & mat. Nice views from several windows. So conveniently close to shopping, restaurants & especially outdoor activities. Great place to stay. Would stay again.

Clean, but…

I was reminded why I don’t like renting from rental companies vs the owner. I had to contact the rental company on the day our stay was supposed to start because I hadn’t heard anything. Only then was I given a form to fill out. We were traveling through the mountains at that point and it wasn’t easy to upload information. I then had to contact again a couple hours before check in to get the code to get in. I’m not sure why this wasn’t sent the day of and why I had to ask. The place was clean, but not all of the windows opened easily to get the stuffiness out when we first got there. The pillowcases did not fully cover the pillows on the king sized bed. The hall light outside of the master bedroom was on the same circuit as our fan in the bedroom. So in order to turn the light off, we couldn’t have the fan on. The living room did not comfortably seat 5 people. We have stayed in several VRBO’s and for the price we paid for this one, we expected more. Maybe if we had paid less, I would have been more forgiving. Other than that it was adequately stocked, clean, and had good views. I would not rent here again or with this rental company again.
