Peaceful, Meditative, Unbelievable Views
My dog & I stayed here 2 months, joined for a week by my son. The setting was unbelievable, very conducive to creativity, relaxation & meditation. Wide open skies! Sparkling views of the village, hills of the park, & mountains in the distance. Hot tub with unobstructed view of town, stars, & moon. Indescribably spectacular sunsets & sunrises. Very dog friendly, Luna was thrilled at being able to wander freely around the securely fenced acreage, unsuccessfully chase the lizards & sit on the deck to survey her queendom. Being on a "bird sanctuary" was wonderful with dove & wren birdsong greeting me every morning, & owl call outside the bedroom window at night. Some Joshua trees on the property & "wildlands" to explore beyond the gate. This is not a "fancy" abode - but that is not what I was there for. The "tin can" (main residence) is comfortable and clean, with everything I needed - a big comfy bed, little washer and dryer, kitchenette with the basics, water conserving shower, indoor activities & lots of evil eye protection. The separate "studio" ("bunkhouse") was full of light & eclectic decor. The hosts were immediately responsive, helpful, & kind; welcomed me with yummy JT coffee & wine. Short walk to amazing Noah Purifoy Outdoor Assemblage Museum. 8 miles to JT village & the Saturday Market. Close to the national park, delicious restaurants, music, sound baths, art instillations & museums. Convenient to the towns of 29, Yucca, Landers, Pioneertown, Morongo, & Palm Springs.
