The cabin was amazing! Beautiful views and so private, juat what we wanted. The driveway was doable with 4 wheel drive. Location was great for us visiting Grand Tetons and Jackson! Communication with host was wonderful. He was super helpful and willing to offer suggestions and information. We loved staying here so much!!!
Everyone entered the house with smiles on their faces. The Henry's went above and beyond and thought of every detail to make our pleasurable and comfortable. They were quick to answer any questions and were helpful in every way they could be.
House is amazing!! The views were stunning! All the extras the host ledt us was unexpected and very much appreciated! We look forward to staying here again!
Excellent stay and exceeded our expectations when it came to kitchen utensils, snacks, and other consumables. Host was always quick to reply with any questions I had. I would recommend to anyone with 5 or more folks that has access to a 4x4.
We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Henry’s Hideout. We booked this cabin for the seclusion during our trip to visit GTNP. The property was great with the various options of outsoor seating to take in the beautiful views! The cabin was so perfect, and the host really thought of everything with various household, personal, and leisure items available for use during our stay. Patrick was very responsive and gave great local recommendations.
The cabin was amazing: great view, stocked with almost anything you might have forgotten to bring, excellent communication with the host, great outdoor space, and much more. Make sure you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle to get up the road to the cabin.
We had an amazing few days at Henry’s Hideout! There was so much more than was even listed! Practically, fully furnished with food, we only had to make a few trips for things! It was fantastic!
I’ve rented many places but this stay was the best! Everything we could have needed and more was available to us. Pictures don’t do it justice and Patrick was so accommodating. We hope to return with family.
This is a beautiful cabin with great views. The property managers are very kind and helpful. World class trout fishing is just a short drive down the hill. I couldn't recommend this cabin more!!!
This cabin was exactly what we needed after some busy days exploring Grand Teton and Yellowstone. We spent days relaxing on the back porch soaking up the view and roasting marshmallows by the fire. The drive up the hill felt really scary the first time up, but got a little easier each time. Almost no need to leave - it's such a beautiful spot to sit in peace - but we did have fun exploring nearby Fall Creek Falls and driving up to Victor and Driggs (nice restaurant options) and riding up the ski-lift at Grand Targhee to see the Tetons from the backside. Other than that, we were happy to chill at the house - adults and kids all LOVED our stay!!
We had an amazing time staying at Henry's Hideout. We balanced time at the cabin with time at the Tetons and Yellowstone. Swimming in the Palisades Reservoir and at Fall Creek Falls was highlights of local things to do. The cabin property was amazing. We couldn't believe how much was provided for us, so be sure to ask before going! Definitely need 4 wheel drive to get to the cabin. Even the locals on the cabin road were very gracious hosts. The kids loved the separate bunk hose, and Patrick was quick to respond to questions we had or gave suggestions that we were looking for. We had a great family vacation week at the cabin and hoping to one day make it back to stay!
We were looking for a get away that was beautiful and quiet. This cabin was absolutely amazing. Not only was the view to die for but the cabin was clean, comfortable and fully loaded. The host provided anything that you could have forgotten and was so easy to interact with. So happy we had a 4WD truck, as the road up was steep and rocky. We are already planning our next trip back!
The cabin was definitely cozy and the view breathtaking! I have never seen a VBRO with so many extras. Patrick even had a welcome gift for us when we arrived which was very much appreciated. We will definitely recommend this cabin to our friends
My wife, two kids, and I stayed a four-day weekend at this cabin and absolutely loved it. For a little mountain retreat, it was surprisingly plush, exceptionally clean, and very well stocked. We had several activities planned that we abandoned because we found we preferred to relax at the cabin and enjoy the views rather than swelter in the mid-day valley sun. We really enjoyed the kayaks provided, nearby access to the river and reservoir, and the fire pit and s'mores with the kids. We'll be back again for sure!
The Henrys were awesome hosts! They provided us with some strong value-adds, such as s'mores materials, firewood, and food and drinks that made us feel welcome right away!
The property itself is gorgeous. It was clean and smelled great as soon as we walked in the door. Oh, and let's not forget about the views - unbelievable! There was nothing like waking up, walking on the porch, and overlooking the reservoir and mountains.
Pat and Kara were always a text or phone call away from answering any question. Their recommendations for activities to do were excellent!
The property was excellent, and our hosts were even better! If you're looking for an authentic taste of the West, look no further than this spot!
This VRBO is truly amazing! This home has everything you would possibly need plus more - it feels like a resort. The views are stunning and it is so so so peaceful. We actually cancelled some of our plans one day just to enjoy the views and the peaceful surroundings on the porch. The owner is very quick with responses and even left us a gift for a stay. The personal touches are awesome! We are working to plan our next trip and want to stay here again! Such an amazing cabin and will recommend to anyone who wants to visit Idaho!
This cabin is so cute with a little bunkhouse that was perfect for the 4 kids! The hosts had everything you could need and more available and lots of ‘extras’. The views were breathtaking and such a peaceful location!! Beds and pillows were all so comfortable! Roasting s’mores and listening/watching the dam water won’t be something we forget! Host has great communication!! The road is a little rough for a short bit but worth it!! Thank you Henry’s for sharing your hideaway
The cabin truly was a cabin on a mountain. Waking up in the morning to the peaking sun to have coffee on the deck while looking out and down over the peaceful lake and circling hawks was something we won't forget. The 10 min drive up the mountain (our son timed it) was well worth the peace not only in quietude but also aesthetic beauty. The cabin itself was clean, with much care given to creature comforts. It was stocked with a number of items, including food, that helped fill in the gaps of what we could bring. Clean and fresh linens were on every bed. We immediately felt at home. The hosts were communicative, friendly, and helpful. This cabin won't disappoint.
How can a place be both thrilling & relaxing? We followed the advice for car rental (4x4) for the adventure of the ride up to the cabin. We assumed once we made it there we'd need to settle in & keep that trip to a minimum. Nope! It was an adventure alright, but we soon felt like pros, going anywhere we wanted: to town, to Falls Creek Falls, Jackson, Grand Tetons, etc. ... always coming "home" to one of the most beautiful places on earth! Morning coffee on the porch with the hummingbirds & the view, and eating supper at the roomy table outside were highlights of the time at the cabin. And the stars at night (even with the lights from the dam below) - wow!
Our host gets my vote for the best ever - very responsive; and I've never rented a place with more amenities & extras!
Note: our only surprise was that we didn't realize the bunk house is a separate structure. No bathroom in there, either. Just so you know.
This cozy little cabin ducked off in the mountain hills was absolutely wonderful. The owners were very responsive to us, the cabin was fully stocked from a Q-tip to clean your ear, to a straightener for your hair, to chap stick for them dry lips, food in the kitchen and icebox to cook, they had makeup wipes, pony tails, everything to wash with from a baby to an adult!! You literally just need to bring yourself and clothes they provided EVERYTHING it was like being at home and can’t stress enough how much they went above and beyond to make their guests feel at home! And the view…. It’s absolutely beautiful! You will have to see for yourself… Absolute privacy….Hands down best rental property we have been to..
We had the best time staying at this cabin. The view is gorgeous and it was fun to sit on the deck or around the fire pit each night. Patrick was great at communicating with us and always answered right away. The cabin is the very well stocked with everything you might need or forgot at home. I was very shocked and pleased at all the items that were there for us to use! Even things I didn't think about bringing but were very helpful. There are lots of fun dining places around in the neighboring towns and it wasn't too far of a drive from Yellowstone or the Teton National Parks.
The road to the house is very steep, good thing we had a truck and 4 wheel drive. So, keep that in mind when traveling! We will be back and book this cabin again!
Oh it was heaven! The pictures doesn't do it justice. I wondered if there'd be other cabins next to...No! We were on a moutain/hilltop with no other visible neighbors. All we could hear were the hummingbirds fighting at the feeder and ELKS BUGLING! The solutitude was perfect. And the view is not only of Palisades lake but of a gorgeous valley with aspens and pines.
Everything we could ever need was provided- smores, coffee, creamers, maple breakfast sausage, peanut butter, hard selters, beer, trail mix etc...even hair products, bug spray, lotions, hair dryer, extra toothbrushes, razor, make-up remover, a cooler and MUCH MORE. They thought of everything!
Look forward to returning again with family!
Patrick was an excellent host. He went above and beyond to stock the fridge and firewood for us to use. He even has minor toiletry items you may have left behind. On his recommendations for a 4x4 vehicle to traverse the drive up the mountain, it is HIGHLY recommended. I am thankful it did not rain as our rental car would not have made it up the mountain. The house was clean, and the beds were comfortable, but the only way upstairs is a small narrow spiral staircase, so do not plan to take a suitcase to the bedroom, which worked out fine for us, as it was just my husband and I. Overall, this is a great place to escape and be one with nature. Thank you Patrick for sharing your space with us. HIGHLY recommend to others to stay and we may even be back if the wind blows us back this way.
Words really cant describe how wonderful this cabin truly is. My wife and I celebrated our 29th Anniversary and I am so glad that I chose this cabin for our trip. Truly a beautiful place with a beautiful view and so secluded. Patrick the owner was so helpful and was wonderful to work with. There is nothing I can say negative at all about this cabin and the customer service Patrick provided. I actually told him if he ever would like to sell this cabin to let me know!! Trust me when I say the pictures online are very accurate but when you arrive and see this cabin and the view you will be impressed and amazed. Everything is provided and everything was of the highest quality. The master bed was so comfortable as well. Everyone says it is hard to get up the mountain and I would highly recommend a truck or jeep and also arrive in the daylight. If you arrived in the dark you would have a harder time finding it at first. That is what was so much fun as it was like an adventure finding it the first time. Once you get used to the area it is much easier but remember the road is very steep in spots so just take your time..the drive up the hill is worth it!! Thank you Patrick for providing a beautiful cabin for others to enjoy. We can't wait to return and to stay here again and thank you for helping us to make our anniversary one we will never forget..
This property is breathtaking and incredible! Amazing, sweeping views, FULLY stocked cabin (don't worry if you forget something!), all the extras thought of. Phone chargers, games, toys, cards, fans, extra pillows, blankets, luggage rack, bottle opener, paper products, portable heater, towels, and an abundance of essential kitchen and bathroom amenities. The cozy side-cabin was perfect for the in-laws (though the teenagers really liked it too!) with laundry facilities and a sink for tooth brushing and washing up. The main cabin was spectacular with two bathrooms, plenty of beds and storage, and a beautiful wood-burning stove plus electric heater. You could easily sleep 10 people on this site- 7 designated beds AND a pull out couch. Lovely swing to sit with morning coffee and watch the adorable hummingbird family (yes, family!) on the deck. Grill made dinner easy. We only wish we had LESS planned so we could have spent more time at the cabin! We were so warmly welcomed! Firewood, snacks, and smores kit left for us was so touching- we had some great family time outside by the campfire and the horseshoe pit. Patrick and crew were ultra responsive, helpful with suggestions for our to-do list, friendly, and genuinely interested in making our vacation perfect. Be ready for adventure! The ride up the mountain is a little bumpy, but was part of the fun. We are already planning another trip back. Do NOT pass up this listing- book it now!! You'll be so glad you did.
