My family of 4 stayed here while visiting Anchorage. The condo was spacious and comfortable, and our kids loved having their own room! Location was great, and close to shopping, and base. It was clean and the host was responsive when we reached out. They even were able to let us check in early:) We also liked the attached garage. The only thing to consider is because the great location, it is also near the highway so you can hear traffic 24/7. But it didn't impact our ability to sleep or relax. Just something to be aware of. But overall, it was a fantastic stay!
Needed to be close to Bartlett Pool for AK State Championship meet and this was perfect as it is about 5 minutes away so swimmers could rest between prelims and finals and is close to restaurants and grocery stores. Owner and property manager both went out of their way to provide what we needed to have a comfortable stay and responded positively to correct an error in the listing that caused minor inconvenience. Would stay again.
The location was close to the military base and shopping. The neighborhood is nice. The house is clean and will supplied with all you need for a great stay.
We really enjoyed our stay in the Gold Kings Retreat during our time in Anchorage! Our girls were THRILLED to each have their own room! (They share a room back home.) We loved having space to be able to spread out (vs. being crammed in a hotel room). The kitchen was well appointed, and had anything you'd need. We liked having the option of making meals there to cut down on expenses. (I think if we were there longer we would have taken advantage of it, but there were certain restaurants we wanted to go to while in Anchorage.) We were REALLY appreciative that the owners provided coffee, sugar and other staples - it was so nice to come down that first morning and make a cup of coffee! I was also pleased to see that they provided paper products and laundry detergent - so nice to be able to take clean clothes home at the end of vacation!
Garrett and Alyssa were very accommodating, and responded in a timely manner to any questions we had. They were great to work with and we'd love to stay there again the next time we're in Anchorage!
We were very happy with the house, one thing i would suggest is that you have AC units in all rooms, it gets hot during the day, and at night, and opening windows has a lot of noises coming in.
This was our first time visiting Alaska and it was amazing! The pros to our stay were immense - house was very clean with lots of towels, extra bedding, and plenty of kitchen essentials for a large family! The location is close to plenty of restaurants and grocery shopping. This is a great little place with awesome hosts who are very easy to get in touch with. If you are thinking about or planning a trip to Anchorage I highly recommend this place!
This place was great! It was very clean, bright, comfortable, and it was well supplied with everything we could have needed. The kids even had books and toys to enjoy. The beds and bedding were exceptionally comfortable, we all slept well! Due to its proximity to the highway and road construction nearby it was a bit noisy, but white noise was provided for all the bedrooms and the noise was much reduced when we closed windows so it was really not bad. We didn't really hear the neighbors either which was nice. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely come back!
