Wouldn’t Stay Again
While the property was clean, the check in process was good and the location was great, we wouldn’t stay at this property for other reasons. The place had doors that wouldn’t close, a door handle fell off on one of bedrooms, there was a hole in one of the walls next to an outlet, the blinds in the kitchen wouldn’t twist open, the washing machine door was broken, etc. I started letting the property manager know about these things and he took a while to respond. When I let him know about the washing machine door and that we were going to have to start washing clothes by hand, he didn’t respond at all until I messaged him again the next day saying I was disappointed in the lack of response. His response was understandable in that being in Bear Lake, there aren’t appliance repair companies so it wouldn’t be fixed while we were there. But what frustrated me even more was that he made it about him and how inconvenienced he would be because after we check out, he would have to take all of the bedding offsite to launder it. Also, shouldn’t all of these things be checked and in working order before guests arrive?
Anyway, we didn’t let these things hold us back from enjoying the lake and Garden City. We will definitely be back to Garden City, but we will choose a different place to stay.
