The location is great for skiers because it is so close to the slope and restaurants. My students only complained about some stink bugs in the bank bed room. Beside this everything was great. We enjoyed meeting elks in the neighborhood.

Beautiful rental
Home was beautiful & well stocked with everything we needed.
Only complaint… communication with host was terrible! Had to contact VRBO customer service twice before he responded to my Vrbo messages, text or voicemails! He wasn’t available at checkin (all he had to do is message us with a code!). We were at the property at checkin time and on the phone with VRBO. We were about to try to find a hotel rooms for our family! About an hour & 1/2 AFTER checkin he called with the code!!!!
So much unnecessary anxiety!!!
This cabin was perfect! We were in town for an event and it was a great location to Maggie Valley. The host was great with communication and helped us out more than he knows understanding our needs traveling with kids. It was just the right size for all of us. We seen elk each morning and could hear the river running the whole time! It was peaceful and the porch was perfect for coffee in the mornings. We will definitely be back here!
Absolutely loved the cabin and property! Great location, being extremely close to the ski resort, central Maggie Valley, and just a short drive to downtown Waynesville (which was a must, with great food, bars, and shops). I absolutely loved the cabin, plenty of room, everything well furnished and clean. Felt really quaint and like home. My friends and I loved it and felt comfortable their. Also, the property manager/owner, was very communicative and helpful before and throughout the whole stay. I plan on staying here again in the future for my continued ski trips!
The house was plenty big for the 6 of us plus little dog. Floors could’ve stood to be a little cleaner but overall the house was clean. All the rooms were nicely decorated. It was very nice sitting out on front deck relaxing and listening to the sounds of nature. Was very convenient to everything. Has everything you need to cook meals or grill out. Neighborhood was quiet, felt safe, and peaceful. Hunter the property manager was very responsive and easy to work with. We would stay again.
Hunter was a wonderful host. Very friendly and hospitable. He answered texts quickly. The home is spacious and very clean. Our family enjoyed our stay very much! Highly recommended.
We planned a trip before school started and it was great. The house was great and was enough room for all 11 of us. Thank you Hunter. The homeowner was so friendly and just a call away. He was a great at communicating.
An absolutely wonderful place! We loved every minute we spent there, like a home away from home! The place was very nice and clean, quiet and relaxing. Most definitely would stay again!!!
The place is beautiful and relaxing the wrap around deck is (WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!); that says it all. My only complaint; check in time was at 4pm, we arrived at 6:20pm. Housekeeping was still there and finsihed preparing the home after 7pm.

We had a great stay in Maggie Valley at the Lazy Elk Hideaway! We enjoyed skiing at Cataloochee only a short drive away and our hike to SOCO falls was breathtaking. We loved our coffee in the mornings on the deck watching the elk and the cabin was great for our family. Thank you Hunter (property manager) for being so responsive with any questions I had! Cheers and Happy New Year!
The property was perfectly easy to fine. It was very clean! Hunter was amazing the whole time we were there when we had question or needed something. He even had a Christmas tree for my girls to decorate and brought extra ornaments by the next day. We loved they cabin and all 5 of the kids liked staying in the upstairs room. Would definitely recommend for a family!
