The cottage was very cute and cozy. Kitchen had plenty of cookware, utensils etc. It was clean, beds were VERY comfortable!!! Mark was very helpful and pleasant to communicate with. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be booking next time Im up there.
Cute little house with nostalgic charm. We traveled over Thanksgiving to visit our daughter. We had a small thanksgiving dinner with her. The kitchen was well stocked with breakfast items for us which save a trip to the grocery store! The bed was comfy and we had lots of room. Wasn’t sure about the neighborhood, but we felt safe inside and it was too cold to be outside anyway.
I absolutely loved staying here. Highly recommend it, and will book it again. I was in town for a conference at Milliken U, and this location was ideal. The host gave excellent directions/instructions. Check-in was easy. The home is clean and comfortable with a kitchen with all of the pots, pans, dishes, etc. I was able to bring my dog and walk him around the neighborhood. Breakfast food was left on the counter and in the refrigerator. Lots of coffees and teas to choose from
Overall, Haworth Cottage is wonderful...the house has lots of cozy charm & we loved all the eclectic decor, very fun! It probably should be mentioned the bedrooms & bath are upstairs, in case someone has knee issues. And not sure it's completely safe to walk the area at night, but daytime seems okay. Very close to Millikin and would be a delight for anyone visiting the University.
This is a beautifully maintained home in an old neighborhood, just a stone's throw from the Millikin Homestead. I say hidden gem because I have walked by this house countless times without knowing what what was behind the flower-lined picket fence. The host generously supplied breakfast fixings that saved us from a late run to the grocery the night we arrived. My brother called it an oasis. You can't go wrong staying here. We will certainly try to book this properyy the next time we have to be in Decatur.

Loved our stay! Older home but sweet '60-'70 vibe. Cottage was clean and had everything we needed. The wrap around patio could be a great place to hangout. It was just too hot while we were there. Such a sweet touch to have breakfast foods to prepare in the fridge.
The house and grounds were adorable and well taken care of. We appreciated the breakfast supplies. I was a little worried not hearing from the host until the night before on check in and out procedures, but that may be standard. Overall it was a great experience.
A friend and I attended the scrapbooking event at the Mt Zion convention center. This cottage was in the middle of a neighborhood where 1 street looks rough and the next is great. Older quiet neighborhood. Warning that bedrooms and bath are upstairs which was fine for us but if you can’t do stairs it would be a problem. The host left full breakfast fixings in the frig which was a great idea and left fruit and breakfast bars on the counter. The house is decorated in older 70s type furniture that was in great shape. Just cuteness all around. Small back courtyard. We were only there to sleep and the A/C was nice and cold. My only negative is the swinging doors to the kitchen. The springs are strong and no way to latch it open. Made it awkward going in and out. I give it 5 stars for what we needed! We will stay again! Very clean!!!!
This place exceeded our expectations. Mark, the host, was very prompt and good with communications. He also provided us with some breakfast basics - nice touch! The property is clean, neat, and exactly as described. Would absolutely rent again.

Yard is great for summer party's for birthdays, and anniversaries.
Host is incredible and very helpful!!
Great location. Central to most everything. It would have been nice to have known about the stairs. Cute little cottage with all the essentials. We enjoyed our stay.
We had a great experience with Mark and loved staying at the Haworth Cottage! It was the perfect location for catching up with our Millikin student and enjoying downtown Decatur. Communication and accessibility were excellent and our stay was much better than a hotel. We are eager to visit again!
My daughter and I stayed here while visiting Millikin University. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The owner even left breakfast fixings for us in the fridge! I recommend this if visiting Decatur. So much nicer than a hotel room!
