The Weygold house is in a perfect location in downtown Lafayette-close to coffee and restaurants and close to Purdue campus. The home was clean and well-stocked and has the cutest yard. Would definitely stay again.
Beautiful home!!! Very comfortable accommodations with everything you could possibly need and Maggie is great to work with. Walking distance to some great restaurants, coffee shops and bakeries.
The house was really impressive and the location can’t be beat. Near shops, restaurants, breweries and of course Purdue! We would definitely stay again.
We had an amazing stay at this wonderful home. The home is gorgeous. We loved the historic charm and all of the older details in the home. The home is set up to be a wonderful and convenient home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you might need for cooking. We also greatly appreciated all of the extra conveniences (toiletries, tissues, etc.). The owners clearly lovingly care for their home and have thought of everything guests might need for a wonderful stay. We can't wait to stay there again!
Booked this house - wanting to be close to the St. Boniface Germanfest…we were literally at their entrance. It was a perfect house for us this weekend. The house was super clean, the beds very comfy, and the amenities were wonderful! The location was perfect for the festival ans also for the downtown restaurants and shops. We loved the big round table for games and eating!! Great house!!
Lovely, well stocked, comfortable home close to downtown and Purdue Campus. Maggie very kind and communicative. Get a smaller rental car, parking is tight.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous house. The interior was beautifully decorated. The location was ideal for exploring downtown Lafayette or the Purdue University campus. This place is a must book if in the area.
Historic charm meets hotel luxury in this gem. We rented it for our son's graduation and it could not have been more perfect. Location/proximity to Purdue's campus was easy, the flat is spacious and generously accommodated a brunch for 6 which allowed us to spend quality time together as a family and not have to fight brunch crowds elsewhere. The kitchen (and all other rooms) is thoughtfully appointed with everything you need to cook with ease on site.
Maggie was great to work with and very responsive. I can't say enough good things. It was the perfect rental for a very special weekend.
Maggie was great to work with. Instructions were easy to get checked in. The house was extremely clean and comfortable beds. It was a quick commute to restaurants and our golf tournament activities on campus.
Such a great, old home with amazing character but many upgraded amenities. Perfect location to downtown Lafayette and 5 minutes to the Purdue campus. Will definitely stay there again!
This is a gem tucked into downtown Lafayette. Fully renovated home with all the modern luxuries you could desire. The kitchen is fully modernized, there is ample space throughout the home, you’re within blocks of shopping and dining spots, and you’re a quick drive to Purdue. Maggie was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. This is easily one of the best, most unique rentals in the area.
This is a beautiful and well-maintained historic home. The accommodations were top-notch. House is close to restaurants but on a quiet street. Stayed with friends and visited with our sons who are university students. This location was perfect for us; we plan to return again.
Weygold house has everything you would want and more. Even the location is right in town walking distance to shops and restaurants. The cherry on top was the sauna! Maggie was very welcoming and ensured we had everything for our stay. We be sure to stay here on our trips to Purdue!
One of THE BEST Vrbo's I've stayed at! The house gives off antique vibes putting you back into the era when it was built! Every single section of the house is well-stocked and the host definitely thought through all the necessities and provided them for our convenience. Super easy to communicate with the owner as well! You'll definitely miss out if you don't stay at this place!

About the host

Well, hello there! My name is Maggie and I love connecting with people on shared interests. As we all do, I wear many hats. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mom, homeschool teacher, operations manager for a dental office, and now a property manager for the most charming historic home in Downtown Lafayette! I just hit "the big one" in birthday candles and now that I'm "over the hill" I find myself even more resolved to make the most of our short time here on earth. I love having friends and family over in our home and feel like the Weygold House is just an extra place where my family and I can extend that care and hospitality to others. We have had wonderful, memory making short term vacation rental stays and hope to provide many memories for our guests for years to come.
Why they chose this property
Welcome to the Weygold House! You are invited to fall in love with it as we have! After our initial "oohs" and "ahhs" as we toured the home, we became curious about its story. Who lived here? Where were they from? What major life events has this house played a part in? Come join us as we discover more about the 3 generations of Weygolds who lived and worked and enjoyed this beautiful home in all its stately grandeur.
What makes this property unique
These are a few of my favorite things:
+ Glorious front double door entry + Historic beauty and charm + Renovated kitchen with a quick heating induction stove and quality drinking water + Oasis from the hustle of downtown with a towering hedge of Arborvitae trees and comfortable bench + Shutters on all the extra tall windows! + Ceiling height! (I'm 6'0" tall and I feel small) + Walking distance from my favorite two restaurants in town, Revolution BBQ and East End Grill
