About this property

Epic view A-frame - Hot-tub, Firepit & Fireplace

A quick jaunt from Seattle you'll find this Epic A-Frame. This property boasts an A-frame cabin with loft, hot-tub, an amazing view towards the west, and a location that puts you right in the North Cascades! Enjoy the fireplace whilst cozying up on a cold evening. The views are enjoyed best from your hot-tub or the firepit to see the epic sunset and the North Cascade's foothills. From your firepit you can see views of Canyon Creek below. Well stocked and appointed, you won't be disappointed :)

Your Northwest Mountain Wonderland adventure starts and finishes here. The location of this property puts you at the entrance to the Mountain Loop highway and just outside of the mountain town of Granite Falls. You'll find all the good eats of Granite's handful of restaurants minutes away. The town IGA grocery has craft liquor and beverages, as well an amazing deli for your daily adventures. The big hikes of the North Cascades are just down the road. Robe trail and Lime Kiln trails can be great warm-ups with easy terrain and wonderful Robe canyon views. Maybe try a few gravel road walks to lead to hidden paradises. There are also Lake 22, Heather Lake, Monte Cristo Ghost Town, Gothic Basin, Mt Pilchuck, Ashland Lakes, Boardman Lake, and don't forget The Granite Falls Fish Ladder at the falls right by your cabin! Check in with the Rangers just outside of Verlot up the road for conditions.

Let's talk about this cabin. This property is the quintessence of our latest transformation. Situated on the edge of a small family neighborhood, you'll find this A-frame tucked nicely into the woods on a ridge overlooking the Canyon Creek spur of the South Fork of the Stillaguamish River. As you enter the home, the open beam look with fresh cedar will remind you of a mountain ski chalet. Big windows and skylights, Butcher block counters, farm sink, bamboo floors, radiant heated slate, large wood stove, spiral stairs, cedar trim, comfy queen bed and furniture. Everything you need to create delicious cuisine, or a craft cocktail. Fully stocked cookware, oils, and spices.

We almost named this place the "Firepit". Out the backdoor you will leave the world behind and enter a magical place. Totally private, natural landscaping with lush ferns, rock, covered deck with hot tub, pathways through the woods to your firepit that overlooks the cascade foothills, distant river, and wetlands below. The evening may include songs of the thousands of frogs below.
We have parking for two vehicles on our long gravel driveway. You have keyless entry into the home from the front door. The back is private and fully fenced. The entire property and home is yours to use. Please park in the driveway.
We want to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable stay.

1) Please be aware that the sleeping loft is accessible via small spiral stairs, which adds to the charm of the cabin.

2) If you plan to bring your furry friend, we welcome them with open arms and have a maximum of two dogs allowed per stay with a fee of $32 per pup per night. This fee is added post booking. No cats are allowed. To avoid any confusion, please include your dog in the reservation. Please note that we kindly ask you to not allow dogs on the furniture, beds, or in the sleeping loft.

3) We do not allow early check-ins or late check-outs. Please do not arrive early, or stay past check-out. The cleaners will be there by 11 AM. If the cabin is ready before the standard 4 PM time, our team will message you. The cabin is usually booked back to back with every guest deserving a fully cleaned and presented cabin :)

4) We do recommend that you bring a couple bundles of dry firewood and kindling for that great fire in the fireplace and firepit.

5) AllTrails is a great resource for your local hikes and excursions.

6) Weather forecast for your planning should be Granite Falls Washington.

7) Closest gas, grocery, firewood, outfitters, restaurants, coffee, and bars is 5 minutes to the West in Granite Falls Washington. You should find everything you need there.

8) All your information for directions, check-in, house information, codes, check-out instructions will be emailed 2 days prior to arrival.

9) The cabin is stocked with a 20 spice spice rack, salt and pepper, olive oil & non-stick spray, popcorn and an air popper, fresh French Roast coffee beans and grinder, French Press, Coffee Maker, single-cup pour over filter system, assorted teas, hot chocolate and cider packets, monk fruit & stevia, toaster, blender, cocktail shaker, gas BBQ and utensils, tea pot, washer and dryer with detergent and fabric softener, organic shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion, and a hair dryer. Oh, and all of the pots and pans you need :)

We strive to accommodate all our guests' needs, so please feel free to let us know if you have any special requests or requirements. We can't wait to host you and make your stay unforgettable! :)

almost spring Birthday escape

what amazing cabins! The attention to detail is apparent in so many ways. We even had an air popper and popcorn supplied. Cool books, cozy bed, basic toiletries provided and beautiful nature right outside your door. Privacy is maximized, We stayed in both the Epic Aframe and the Mt Pilchuck cabin. Both are fabulous. The Backyard is Everything!

The place is really cute and well kept. The bed is super comfortable. The backyard smells like Cedar as soon as you open the door! It's just fantastic and it's my favorite part of the place!

Perfect getaway for 2

My best friend and I needed a couple days to rest and relax. The cabin was perfect! So quaint, clean, and the perfect amenities- we enjoyed coffee, tea, and popcorn and loved quick access to hiking trails and parks to just soak in the beauty.

Will definitely come again

This is one of the better cabins I’ve stayed in through VRBO. Very cozy and comfortable, with an amazing back yard and a well-stocked kitchen. We enjoyed bouncing between hot tub soaks and cribbage games on the outdoor patio.

Cozy, comfortable and pet friendly

We stayed at the cabin for two nights, its a cute cozy house situated in the outskirts of Granite Falls, with very easy access from the highway, no need to drive through difficult roads. The cabin itself was very clean and lovingly decorated, maybe a bit small for more than 2 people but perfect for us and a dog.The hot tub was perfect, especially on the cold nights and turning off the jets to be able to hear the river made it more magical.Being in a easy to access neighborhood is a tradeoff so it was a tad busier with more sounds around, nothing terrible but if you want a fully secluded experience this is not it.Finally, the only minor drawback is that the back patio is not pet allowed, it is not mentioned in the description and one of the reasons we chose this place was for the enclosed backyard. In the end our dog had little interest in it and wasn’t such a big deal but I am leaving this here for other people. We had a great time, the hosts were attentive and communicated often, we will definitely come back.

Hello happy travelers!

We are Owen and Kristin, and we love our job of creating magical retreats for our guests to stay and relax in. Owen is a former contractor and I am an Alaska Airlines flight attendant, and both are real estate brokers. We pride ourselves on creating a rewarding experience for all of our guests. We buy (or help our clients buy) unique properties all around the PNW. We then remodel these homes to chic faux-rustic design. All the way through sourcing furniture and stocking shelves the process goes on. We love family, skiing, hiking, traveling, gardening, photography and searching for new properties to renovate.
Our adventure started 4 years ago as house flippers and helping our clients do the same. Things took a turn when we completed our 3 cabin remodels. The plan was to finish and sell them so we could roll into other flips, but the night before listing, while sitting around the campfire, we decided to roll the dice and keep the cabins and turn them into Vacation Rentals. That single decision has completely changed our lives and business plan.
