The property is located on 3rd floor of a dirty, old building with broken elevator. Exterior door to lobby not secured, it did not lock. We watched someone try to access the building with a passcode that did not work then yank the door open and walk into the lobby and disappear up stairs. There is no security.
Three floors of stairways, hallways and lobby were filthy, run down, littered with trash, graffiti and stinking of cigarette/weed. Unit we rented had old, worn, damaged, mismatched furniture, fist holes in 2 interior doors and dirty walls and trim that has not been painted in years. Windows faced another building. No view. Living room couch dirty and stained. Electrical sockets in bedrooms didn't work, TV in living room didn't work, bedside table lamps in bedrooms missing light bulbs. Minimal kitchenware, one wine glass. Unit advertised as including beach chairs & umbrella. I confirmed availability of chairs & umbrella with host by email prior to arrival. Unit had one broken umbrella and no beach chairs. Host was contacted immediately upon arrival and 4 more times regarding condition of unit and missing beach chairs. She lied, said a maid would bring beach chairs in morning. No one ever did. Final call to Host, they admitted there were no beach chairs and suggested requesting partial refund, which I am trying to do. We had to rent beach chairs for 6 people. Not cheap in South Beach. Worst rental ever. So not worth the cost or time.
