Poor Management
This is what I wrote to the host of the studio apartment I stayed in when they finally sent me an email - and it was only about checking out!
Dear Host:
You ask what you could do to make my stay more enjoyable. I'll tell you!
I have tried to email you, but my emails came back. You rarely answer your phone.
There is a cracked window, and the one that opens has a broken handle, so it does not close properly.
The blinds are broken and unsightly, and lend a shabbiness to the place.
There is no battery in the TV remote, and even manually, the TV says that the signal is "Weak," and the picture is distorted.
The flat is clean. and that is its main virtue. Kudos to the cleaning crew! It also has all the appointments necessary. However, the refrigerator is turned off, and I can't see how to turn it on.
Never mind that it took hours and many phone calls to you and intervention by VRBO
for me to get you to tell me how to gain access to the flat. You never returned my messages about how to access the WiFi.
You advertise the building as a new one, but it is shabby and the entrance is dilapidated, and it needs obvious repairs.
You never mentioned that there is a flight of stairs up to the entrance, nor that the front door of the building does not lock for security.
Only after I'd rented your place did you mention that the elevator was there only for show.
And yes, maybe you should try the mattress. It feels like a box spring, not a real mattress.
I hope I have given you suggestions you will use: Both your maintenance and your management services need serious overhaul. With some interventions it could be a nice place to stay.
