Serene and Sylvan Stay

We really enjoyed this property for our 4th visit to the Maine mid-coast area this year. It was a private and quiet setting surrounded by trees decked out in beautiful fall foliage. Easy access to Camden and many idyllic little townships. Some beautiful hiking nearby too. The house was tidy with an easy layout and good beds. We lacked nothing and were very comfortable. Host Mark was quick to respond if we had any questions. The house is multi-level so there are stairs. We will stay again hopefully next year!

Perfect Maine Retreat

Nestled in the woods made us feel like we were the only people within miles but still only .5 mile to the local general store. House was spotless and very comfortable to return to after full day of touring. Location was perfect. We hub and spoked using this location as home base. Within an hour to Boothbay Harbor, Acadia, Bangor and Manchester region.

Very Nice House

We really enjoyed staying at this house. It was spacious and clean with a nice layout. The beds were very comfortable. The house was close to attractions and the Lincolnville general store is 2 minutes away. We could pick up necessities there in a pinch and the food is very good. We would stay again.

Lovely house, great base to explore a charming area

This is a quiet, beautifully furnished and decorated, well equipped house in the woods. We found it easy walking distance to a characterful and well stocked general store and short driving distance to scenic coastal towns with shops and restaurants. We particularly enjoyed the walking trails within the nearby Camden Hills State Park. This was a great base for our visit (four Brits, mid 50s - mid 60s) to this part of Maine and Mark our host was quick and helpful in his response to any questions we had.

I am a retired geologist and boatbuilder, married with three children and three grandchildren. I enjoy hiking, biking, and restoring old wooden boats.

Why they chose this property

A beautiful and private setting and yet very close to the town, the lakes and mountains and shorelines of Maine.

What makes this property unique

A comfortable home in quiet woodlands with tall pines, oaks, and maples. From here there is easy access to anything along the mid-coast: the shorelines, harbors, islands (by ferry), bike paths, hiking trails, shopping and restaurants, art museums.
