About Us

Our goal is to make the joy of slowing down and connecting accessible to all. Much of our free time is spent with our hands in the dirt. We raise a diverse variety of animals and produce to provide for ourselves and our community. We have a variety of goods available throughout the year - so please let us know if you would be interested in our eggs, garlic, squash, or meats to enjoy here or take home!

We have two wonderful dogs, Bodhi and Chaco. You might also see one of our three cats roaming around during your stay. All of our fur-friends are friendly, sociable, and very loving.

What’s Nearby

There's a million reasons we've chosen this area to call home. Spend your time just being, or explore the many farms, restaurants, galleries, shops, and activities Southern Vermont has to offer.

We’re located 5 miles from downtown Putney where you’ll find Next Stage Arts, Yellow Barn International Music Center, and the Sandglass Theater. We also have a great food co-op, general store, and a few restaurants.

If you’re looking for a hike with a great view, it’s absolutely worth checking out Putney Mountain and The Pinnacle. Easily hiked in a couple of hours or less.

We’re 17 miles from Brattleboro - where you’ll find a larger variety of restaurants and local shops. We’re also blessed with a year-round farmers market - which is not to be missed!

We’re passionate about good quality food and supporting our local farmers and businesses. We would love the opportunity to recommend some of our favorite spots.

Cute little getaway

Property very much as advertised. If you read reviews, there are window coverings that face the owners house, but it's not like you're on top of them. A lot of space separates you.Wood stove is great.Hot tub is on the back of cabin facing the woods.Steps are steep to get to the second floor, but easy to navigate. If you have a larger pup, they wont be able to get up there. My husband is already trying to plan when we go back.Very cute place, a few restaurants locally, but very quiet area to unwind.Would definitely go back. Great stay, thank you!the woods.

Tranquility and comfort

Off the beaten path, this cabin offered a cool and quiet respite from the summer heat. Lovely wooded trails to hike, a hot tub to relax in at night, well equipped kitchen and a comfortable bed with a bay window to catch the first morning light. We were traveling with our dog and were pleased to find a place that was pet friendly. We look forward to visiting again

Great Getaway!

We loved staying here! In a very secluded area, giving you great privacy. We loved the hot tub! Nick was very responsive and even started the wood stove before we arrived. It’s the perfect spot for a quiet getaway! We would most definitely return!

Cute weekend getaway

We came for Labor Day weekend with our dog from Boston. It was a nice distance to town, very cute cabin with a “glamping” vibe. Owners are very nice and the cabin was fairly secluded. Wifi/service was a bit spotty and the stairs up to the bed are pretty steep so we couldn’t bring our dog up, but overall it was a great property and we would definitely return!

Horrible communication. Too hot to sleep. No privacy. Bad wifi

First off I sent several messages to the host through the Vrbo message with no response. I was not given any check in information what so ever. I had to call the host when we arrived and found them somewhat surprised that we were there. He told us how to get to the cabin and to call if we had any issues. When we arrived the upstairs loft was about 90 degrees and the two windows that opened had no screens to keep bugs out and there was no fan up there to help circulate the air. There was also no Info regarding the wifi on site. So 15 min after we were told to call with questions we did and there was no response from two phone calls and a text message. We spent the first night sleeping on the couch and the floor of the kitchen/living room. Needles to say we had a horrible night. The next day the host refused to get screens for the windows and instead gave us a hazardous fan that was missing it’s front cage cover. (Could have been seriously injured but had no choice but to use it) when we were finally notified about the wifi network and password on the second day! it hardly worked and I spent most of the time using a mobile hot spot from my phone. The property also had no curtains or blinds for the windows and was overlooked by the hosts house this felt very odd and somewhat creepy considering the host could clearly see what we were doing from the comfort of his home. This was by far my worst experience I’ve ever had with a vacation rental. I would definitely never return. And as it was my first time using Vrbo I will likely not book on this platform again. Also found mouse droppings on the kitchen counter. Wish I had stayed somewhere else.
