House steps away from the best Exuma beach!
It's all about the location: this very nice house is at the prettiest beach of the Exumas. We have visited them all and none can compete. The house is a row back but it has an upper deck with a nice view. It's only a few steps to the dream beach which btw has a popular bar with drinks and tasty burgers, sandwiches, etc.
There are several other restaurants near by. Hint: as pretty much everywhere on the Exumas, restaurants close very early to foster outside seating without bugs that come as soon as the sun goes down.
The house is not a luxury villa, but also not a beach house, somewhere in between and very well equipped which includes a washer, dryer, water cooler, AC, 3 TVs, great Wifi and a stereo, however no dishwasher. The beds are comfortable, the AC quiet, and one feels immediately at home in this cosy place.
The owners take very well care of it and there is a local handyman for everything during the stay if necessary. We had a sulfur smell in the water and he came by and replenished the water filtration system and all was good.
The water filtration system reduces the water pressure, so one needs to get used to take showers with little water.
Getting groceries is a 1 1/2 hour endeavor because it's quite far to Georgetown, so that is a price one needs to pay for being at this beautiful spot. Same goes for other activities - the "swim with the pigs" day cruises leave at the north tip of the island, which is quite a drive but we found it well worth it.
