About this property
The Pines of Dresden Bed and Breakfast
Located on a 2-acre oasis in the heart of Dresden Village, we are miles away from the stresses of the outside world. The historic three-story restored farmhouse was built in 1812, making it the oldest home in Dresden, but stocked with all the modern amenities, including wireless internet access. Wake up to a full gourmet breakfast and end the evening with a homemade dessert.
The space
All rooms have a private bathroom, fireplace, 2 beds, cable television and wireless high speed internet. While you are here, we have several places to sit and relax. The Gathering Room is a cozy place to curl up in front of the fire to watch your favorite show or movie. Our Screen Porch is a perfect setting for a glass of wine and we enclose it in the winter. The Front Porch gives you a great view of the cherry trees. And on chilly nights we often roast marshmallows in our fire pit. The Gazebo with its original slate roof is a great place to play a game or have a pizza, and our hammock is made for 2 people and a perfect place to read a book. Around the property you will find benches for your relaxation, or ask us for a blanket to spread on the grass to enjoy a snack or picnic.
Guest access
We do have a guest refrigerator that we keep stocked with sodas and waters, and encourage you to fill it with anything you would like to keep cool. Because of the licensing, we are not allowed to provide alcohol, but we are happy to serve it! Please feel free to bring any wine, beer or cocktails that you like and we have all the openers and stemware you may need. We also have a microwave for your convenience. We set out a nightly dessert and tea service around 8pm in the Gathering Room. The next morning, the tea service is replaced by freshly-brewed coffee at 7:30am. The Dining Room will open and a family-style breakfast will be served at 8:30am.
Other things to note
We have a very friendly bulldog, Sissy, that likes to greet the guests. If you prefer to have us keep her in our private area, that is no problem. We also have 2 outdoor cats, Toby and Oreo, that try to sneak in to say hello. Please let us know of any allergies and we will make sure they remain outside.
In preparing our menu, we like to take all our guests into consideration. We are happy to work around any food allergies, diet restrictions, or dislikes that we are made aware of. Letting us know in advance will help us in planning the meals.
