As its name implies, Serenity Cove Cottage offers a peaceful Maine oceanfront retreat less than two miles from all that downtown Camden has to offer.

This vacation house is tucked in amongst the pines, and situated on a private road with 120 feet of shorefront. The beach is quintessential Maine with both rocky and sandy portions and beautiful views of Penobscot Bay and the outer islands. It is accessed via a steep shared stairway. Camden Hills State Park with its extensive trail system for hikers and bikers is within walking distance of Serenity Cove Cottage.

Serenity Cove is an air-conditioned contemporary beach house with an open floor plan. The large windows bring the light and views inside, while a deck off the living and dining areas looks out over the bay. The cottage is comfortably furnished, with ceiling fans in the bedrooms enhancing the ocean breeze.

This is a seven-night minimum stay rental.

Beautiful view, nice cottage/sub-par management

The cottage is located on the water and has a beautiful view. The downstairs is lovely, has great views of the water, workable kitchen and one bedroom and bathroom. The air conditioning upstairs, where there are two bedrooms and a bathroom, was not only not cooling, it was blowing out hot air which made sleeping up there very difficult. We could not get anyone in particular to address the problem. I called into a central number, which was not anywhere near Maine. They opened a ticket. I texted and got responses from an AI chat bot, which were not particularly helpful. Finally two days later someone local came to confirm there was a problem. He said it would be addressed right away and we didn't need to be there when it was being fixed. Two days later I got a text from someone asking to be let in (we were away). I told him to get a key. I never heard back from him but he did install a room air conditioner in one of the rooms, which made things a bit more tolerable but still not satisfactory. The AC issues in other room was never fixed. The internet service was horrible; our phones kept getting kicked off of it. The management via text told us to unplug the modem and plus it back in. That didn't help. On the last day, cranes and other equipment were tearing trees down on the lot next door, making a lot of noise. All in all, we enjoyed our time at the cottage DESPITE inadequate response to our issues by the management.

Experienced Maine Vacationers

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property and views are extremely beautiful. The beach is also very nice, but you have to go down a path to access it which is a bit steep and has a short ladder. Most abled-bodied people will be able to handle this fairly easily, but it could be a challenge for older or disabled people. They have cable TV but it does not pause, fast forward or rewind so it's best to have a streaming service like YouTube TV. It is a relatively small house, but it is very functional and good value for money. You can't beat the location - 15 minutes to Camden, 5 minutes to Lincolnville and 30 minutes to Belfast. If we weren't buying a house in Maine, we'd stay there again.

Wonderful view; close enough to town; very clean; dated but functional furniture.

Beautiful Property, With Everything Needed For An Enjoyable Vacation.

Our two week stay went too fast at Serenity Cottage. The property was clean, and nicely decorated and has everything anyone could ever need for an enjoyable vacation. Truly a million dollar view, It's close proximity to Camden was perfect. But it's also not too far from Lincolnville and Belfast. The Camden State Park is right next door. We hiked and climbed Mount Battie. We had a minor problem with the internet but it was repaired within hours of mentioning the problem. Property management was prompt with their responses, Kevin, (the property owner) could not have been more helpful. The only negative is; I wish we could have found our way to the beach. The listing reads; "There is a steep climb down to the beach." I know there is a beach I could see it. But for the life of me we could not find our way to it. Other than that; Serenity Cottage is private, convenient, beautiful, clean, well managed with magnificent views. If that is what you are looking for in a property rental, (and we were) this is your place. Thank you we had a wonderful time at Serenity Cottage.

Serenity Cove

We stayed a week last year too. Nice location. A bit noisy due to construction on new house down the road. Would prefer softer pillows and sheets.
