Bright, beautiful, beachfront condominium. Direct walk out to the beach on beautiful Sleeping Bear Bay. Our condo is a 2-story, 3 bedroom, 2 bath townhouse, which offers free internet wifi, 50" LED Smart TV & DVD player in living room, 32" LED Smart TVs & DVD players in all bedrooms and updated bathrooms with granite vanity counter tops. Sleeps up to 7 with queen size bed in master and 3 twin beds in each of the other 2 bedrooms.

Enjoy breathtaking sunsets over Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and North and South Manitou Islands from our beachside deck. Stroll to the Crystal River, and tube down to the mouth of the river at Lake Michigan. Walk or bike to the charming Village of Glen Arbor for a morning cup of coffee at Leelanau Coffee Roasting or eat at famous Art's Tavern. Dine outdoors on the deck at Boonedocks, with live music every evening during the summer.

Canoes, kayaks and tube rentals available in Glen Arbor for longer excursions down the Crystal River. Climb the magnificent sand dunes at the Dune Climb-just a short drive away. Tour the wineries of Leelanau County or golf on one of the area's beautiful golf courses. Enjoy hiking on the miles of National Lakeshore Park trails around the Homestead and Glen Arbor, or just walk on the beautiful sand beach and hunt for petosky stones. Come experience the pristine beauty of Leelanau County and Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Just a Getaway

Easy to deal with the hosts, easy to find as we were familiar with the area. Condo was excellent, very clean, updated, views spectacular, short walk to the beach. We will return to this condo!

Perfect Vacation

Our family had an amazing stay. The place was very clean and had some nice updates done that made the stay very comfortable. The view of the lake and the short walk to the beach was perfect for our young children. The host are great communicators and very accommodating. We will be booking this place again!

Wonderful Place

Very clean and just steps from the beach. Beautiful sunsets! Close to restaurants, wineries, dunes, and hiking and biking. The condo was well furnished and the kitchen and bathroom updates were very nice. We would love to stay here again!

A little piece of heaven

Our family’s stay at Wilderness 6 was everything we had hoped it would be. Nature abounds in this location and we made sure to soak in all of it. We loved our time, despite the rain and cold temps for half of our stay. We enjoyed the ease of travel to the grocers Daughter Chocolier for delicious sweets, Moomers for incredible ice cream, Broomstick for good burgers and watching some curling (next time we’ll pack warmer clothes to take lessons ourselves), and the incredible beauty of the dunes. Of course the beachfront property was the most special, watching the sun set right in front of us. The house was clean and updated. The owners were wonderful to work with - even the neighbors were lovely. We look forward to another visit to Glen Arbor and Wildwrness 6.

Lovely Location

The condo is very comfortable. The furniture and toaster and could use an update. Trash cans for bedrooms would be beneficial as well as bar soap for the bathrooms. A recycling container in the kitchen would be great next to the trash can along with instructions regarding where to dispose of the same. The lock system for entry is very cumbersome.

Stay was fantastic!! Rick and Ann were very welcoming and organized. Condo was clean and checkin was smooth. Emailed questions were answered promptly. Views of the Lake were stunning and the condo was exactly what we needed. Will definitely look at for another stay!!

Views of Sleeping Bear Bay

The condo was wonderful. Coffee on the deck in the am listening to the birds and sunsets in the evening was great. And always the soothing sound of wind in the pines. Very quiet area, short walk to the beach, water incredibly clear, sandy beach with lots of skipping stones. Wish we had had more time to just enjoy being at the condo and beach, but had several family and event commitments. We hope to return next fall.

We love Glen Arbor with its quaint shops and beautiful beaches:) It’s such a lovely spot with its gorgeous landscape and scenic roads. We had great communication with the property owners and the accommodations were as advertised.

Nicely Updated Condo, Great Location

We enjoyed our stay! The condo is beautifully updated and we loved being right on the beach. We also enjoyed the "Wilderness". We saw a few deer and other wildlife walking past our deck. One of the nicest stays we've had at the Homestead.

Sleeping bear bay condo

Nice updated condo on the beach. The neighborhood was quiet and clean. The beach is beautiful. The condo is super close to town for food, entertainment and shopping. It’s also close to empire bluffs and sleeping bear. Stayed here with 3 young kids. Highly recommend.

Wonderful location and great amenities

We loved our stay in Glen Arbor at this property! The rooms are cozy, so the pack and play was tight between two beds, but it worked fine for our small group. Great location and town!

Paradise on the lake!!

We really enjoyed staying at this beautiful townhouse on Lake Michigan. The décor was wonderful with lots of beach, boating and Michigan touches. The newly renovated kitchen was quite lovely and well equipped. There was even a full size washer and dryer in the unit. The master bedroom was quite comfortable with a view of the lake. Both bathrooms seemed to have been recently updated as well. Sitting outside on the back deck and watching the sun slowly set over the Sleeping Bear Dunes, was just spectacular. The Lake Michigan beach, just a one-minute walk from the unit, was beautiful with incredible white sand and clear water. We frequently were the only people on the very long beach and enjoyed hunting for Petoskey stones there. The location of the unit is just perfect. In about 30-45 minutes, we could drive to Traverse City, which had many great food purveyors, allowing us to stock up the kitchen with great food.. The Grand Traverse Pie Company pies were amazing and the Cheese Lady had a very nice cheese selection. We were also close to the small town of Glen Arbor, which had a grocery store for any necessities, which was quite convenient. The Sleeping Bear Dunes bike trail was quite close to the townhouse and was a wonderful trail to ride on. We also took the Pierce Stocking Scenic Drive with spectacular views of the lakes and rolling hills. The Leelanau peninsula, about a half hour drive from the property, was lovely for wine tasting, biking and gorgeous scenery. Overall this was a fantastic townhome and we look forward to returning with family members to introduce them to this beautiful area of the country.

Wilderness Bliss!!

We have loved vacationing at The Homestead for years and this property was no exception. Ideally located just steps from the lakeshore and very nicely refurbished. Like most, if not all, of these lakeside condos there is no A/C but the plentiful fans that were installed/supplied were enough to keep us comfortable during our height of summer stay. One very minor grumble, and the only reason my review is 4 stars instead of five, is that more comfortable beds would have made our stay absolutely perfect. That said, we are used to a king size, tempurpedic so any queen, regular bed would probably feel uncomfortable to us. All in all we heartily recommend this property.

Wonderful Stay on the shores of Lake Michigan

Our family had a wonderful stay, with every need met. It was lovely to be steps away from the water and to be able to cook our meals while on vacation in the recently updated kitchen. Too much to do in one stay, we will certainly be back!
