Smelled like cigarettes - horrible experience!
This was honestly the worst rental experience we have ever had. The issues started with the day of check in - the steep driveway was not plowed for our arrival even though it had not snowed for 4 days so we had to shovel ourselves to be able to get up the driveway, the heat was turned off in the home so it was 42 degrees inside (we have 2 little children), the house was advertised as a non-smoking property however clearly smelled like cigarettes inside and was littered with cigarette butts all outside the property. Additionally, there was a dead mouse in the house, a fire pit was advertised but then the check in email instructions said we could not use, and my 3 year old son woke up with bites all over him which were either flea or bed bug bites. Despite communicating with corporate Vacasa on the day of check in, every day of our vacation, and afterwards in regards to all of these issues, they were not able to relocate us and showed little concern for these significant issues. Corporate Vacasa tells you only the local operations manager can assist; however, the local operations manager never called me despite numerous attempts via email and phone. The local housekeeper did drop off additional sheets; however, that does not compensate for the fact the property was falsely advertised as non-smoking. The property management company obviously did not visit the home prior to check in to make sure it was acceptable for guests. I would strongly urge to not book this property.

Easy-to-find property
This home is well appointed (nice shades, newer windows). It's relatively close to everything we wanted to do. We even took a day trip to Portland, ME to see lighthouses and it was only a couple hours away. We definitely enjoyed our stay here.

Attention to Details Matter
Overall, the stay was ok. The home is very cute and has a quaint charm about it. That being said, as another guest mentioned, there was a very distinct musty smell as well as the smell of dog urine in many places but specifically the living room couch and the rug upstairs in the twin room bedroom. Aside from the smell, our main issues were as follows: the doors of the bedrooms and bathrooms did not properly shut offering limited privacy, the upstairs television is not a smart TV nor does the DVD player have a working remote rendering it useless, and the dryer had to be re-run 5 times to dry so much as few t-shirts. The sauna

Perfect little gateway
The moment you walk in you feel like you are home. The view was perfect in living area and up stairs bedroom. Even in the kitchen you felt like you could be apart of the conversation happening in the living area. It is a house my friends and I decide that it would be a house we would love to come back to in the future.

Nice place
Lovely stay. Very close to Gunstock. I would say the cabin would get tight with more than 4. Not a lot of storage area for your activity gear. Really enjoyed the sauna.

Quick weekend away at Gunstock
This house was perfect for a quick family ski trip to Gunstock. House was clean, beds were comfortable, and we were mere minutes from the mountain. Minor issues getting into the house - a text from Vacasa gave me a code, but I had to read a separate email to discover that the code was for a not easy to find key box. But a quick call to customer service and we were in.

Birthday Trip
We came up for my birthday and pumpkin fest in Laconia. It was a great location, close to Mount Major for our hike and Laconia for the festival. The house was really nice, pretty spot on to the listing. There were a few kitchen tools that would have been nice to have (measuring cups/mixing bowls) but we were able to work around it. All in all, the house was great. Check in was so easy and so was check out.

clean, vibe-y, close to hiking
the house is well decorated and designed, and beautiful natural light comes through from the many windows. The sauna is a great addition. the house was clean and about a 10 minute drive to hiking spots and the Village Store (awesome breakfast). although there is hiking just a few minutes walk from the house as well. 1 bedroom and separate full bath downstairs. 2 bedrooms and half bath upstairs.

Loved the amenities this home had to offer including the fire pit, grill, sauna, and board games! Perfect location for hiking and visiting the lake in the summer. Very clean. Just some small issues including that the bathroom door didn’t close fully and the shower/sink took some time to drain but overall a very enjoyable stay!

Mountain getaway with baby and dog!
The home was well maintained, clean and stocked with everything we needed for our getaway. We loved the proximity to Gunstock and the ease of communication with vacasa. Some things of note: we took our 2 year old lab along with our 14 month old and there was a small backyard area for the dog to go out but the street and neighbors were close so we didn’t feel safe to let her roam off leash. We had some issues with the tub not filling and or staying filled which was out of our control - my baby needs her bath nightly! We also had some issues with the smart TV not working with our preferred streaming platforms but Netflix was available. The beds were not my favorite but did fine for a few nights. The sauna was AMAZING! After a long day chasing the baby around and exploring the area which we love. Would stay again.

Too small for 6 adults
Upstairs should be for children only - Small stairs and low ceilings. Also, only one shower. Not enough outlets or lighting. Had to purchase a hair dryer and needed cookware.

Great Little Gilford Home
Excellent location. Close proximity to amenities. Best part is you can walk out the front door to hiking trails in the Belknaps! House was comfortable and clean. Kitchen utensils could use a bit of upgrading and stick a few more bowls. Vacasa was ok. They did not follow up on some communication.

Beautiful home, no air conditioning
This was a beautifully set up home, excellent location. It was difficult staying here with no air conditioning with sleeping quarters on the second floor.
