Cozy Hill Country Cabin in San Marcos, Texas

La Casita Verde is located in a quiet, well established country neighborhood, 10 minutes from downtown San Marcos and Texas State University and 15 minutes from the Outlet Malls. We are conveniently located within 30 minutes or less from Austin, New Braunfels, Gruene, Wimberley and Canyon Lake. Many great affordable restaurants and live music venues are nearby. As our guest you would also have access to our neighborhood pool and tennis courts during the summer season. Our cabin is ideal for parents visiting their Tx State students and alumni returning for a reunion!

Our air conditioned, 800+ sq. ft. cabin has lots of windows and a large granite gravel patio. The cozy interior features a full kitchen with quartz counters, rustic barn-wood beams and trim, and a queen size Murphy bed. Our home is on the property, so we will be available to help with any of your needs. We know you will enjoy your stay!

The cutest stay!

Stayed here with my mom for a wedding. The casita is adorable and full of cute little details. Pam thought of everything! She was so kind and the property was beautiful! Highly recommend!!

Not what we expected

Place is very outdated. Awful bathroom with cheap fabric nailed to the wall over the window and terrible shower. TV doesn’t work well, poor quality sound and the Murphy bed is the only place to watch tv. The view on the property is of storage buildings and blue tarps covering piles of stuff. Needs a LOT of work to compete with other VRBO properties. Reminded me of someplace my late grandparents might have decorated back in the day with their left over furnishings.

Quiet country stay just 10 minutes from it all

This property was everything we didn’t. It was clean, quiet, and the managers were so hospitable. We enjoyed being able to utilize the tennis courts and pool, and deer spotting on our way to and from each day. We loved falling asleep to the sound of crickets and waking up to cicadas - a quiet, country stay, and was still only a few minutes from town!

Great cozy spot

The cabin was comfortable, charming, and just the right size for a couple. We loved that it was in the country but with easy access to restaurants, etc., in San Marcos. And Pam and Steve were very helpful -- I asked lots of questions while planning our long weekend, and they provided great information that helped me schedule all the activities we were interested in during our short stay.

We enjoyed our stay immensely. The hosts, Pam and Danny, were welcoming, accommodating to our requests, gave wonderful suggestions. A true getaway spot

We loved staying at this adorable cabin! For a small building, it has plenty of space indoors and out, and you will want to enjoy the beautiful country setting, cute outdoor seating area, and wonderful company of the host. The kitchen is well stocked and everything is as described in the listing. The host, Pam, was incredibly helpful and a pleasure to talk to. She gave us excellent suggestions for places to eat and made us feel so welcome and at ease. The cabin is a great place to stay when visiting our college student and we will definitely be back.

This is our favorite place to stay in San Marcos. The casita is lovely as are the hosts. This is the perfect place for a quiet getaway while visiting our son in college. Everything was wonderful. We will be back

Quaint little casita

Such a cute little house. Small but not tiny. Very smartly arranged to make it feel spacious. Loved all the windows around the top. Cute decor. Very relaxing and homey. Everything was top notch. New fixtures. Great towels. Fresh flowers in vase in bathroom. Even a little ring box for your jewelry.. you can tell the owners take pride in their home. Pam was very nice and gave us tips. Jimmy Buffett had just passed the day before so we commiserated over that loss. Had margaritas at a great downtown restaurant, Casa Maria. Nice outdoor space but too hot and humid to enjoy. We did see deer in the front yard. Suggestions- an air conditioner in the bathroom could really enhance the experience. The split unit in the main house was great. The Murphy bed was a nice idea if you needed more space. It was comfortable too. Just a nice place to stay. I would definitely recommend it but wait till the Fall if possible. Thanks Pam and Danny.
