Great location. Convenient to shopping and restaurants. The check-in was very easy. There are cabins on each side that sit close to this cabin. So, it's not secluded. The cabin also needs a good deep cleaning. Overall, okay. I would recommend mainly for location.
The cabin was nice. Pictures were all accurate except the pic of the outside of the cabin. It makes it appear that it is a secluded cabin in the woods. That is not the case. It's on a street, in a neighborhood with other cabins that are not far away at all. It was fine, we would stay there again--it's just not exactly what we expected.
Check in/out was very easy.
Everything was clean.
The cabin is very conveniently located.
Everything was in good working order. It was too hot outside to use the hot tub, so I can't speak to that.
We did go to the pool one day, it was nice and not too busy. I guess I do have one suggestion--it would be nice if there were pool towels in the cabin. We had to take bath towels when we went.
The arcade game was fun, so that's a nice touch. There is also a pool table and several board games.
Firstly we loved our stay and the cabin was great. Looks much more secluded from pictures online. We were woken up 2 days to construction on new cabins behind ours. We understand construction starts early in the morning due to heat so not it was okay. We will absolutely be back next year. Best family vacation we have been on. Location is just far enough from the busyness of town but close enough to come back to the cabin for lunch.
This cabin is in a great location - close to everything, but not in the middle of the craziness. Check in/Check out was simple and communication from the owners was great! We had a wonderful time and when we return to the area we will have this place at the top of our list.
Overall a good stay. At no fault of the owners since they have no control over it,. We were awakened around 7:30-8am every morning by the sounds of heavy equipment, saws, hammers etc from the construction of several new cabins directly behind the cabin we stayed in(just be forewarned there will be no sleeping late. The cabin was fairly clean, not nasty by any stretch but kind of dusty(my wife owns a cleaning business so we are very picky). Rail on porch was loose, jets in jacuzzi tub in master are weak, hot tub jets weren’t very hard and all some didn’t work. Missing tv remotes for tv on back porch it we just used the ones from living room. TVs we’re a little hard to figure out at first but we got it figured out. I in no way mean to imply that out stay was full of problems because it wasn’t. It was a great week and the cabin is nice enough. Very good communication with owners and quiet neighborhood when the construction workers were gone. About 15 minutes drive from the parkway in Pigeon Forge so not too far at all from everything to do. The hot tub was good enough and the cabin is well stocked with everything you need. Kids loved the pool table and arcade game! I would definitely stay here again.
The location was horrible there was construction every day, so couldn’t sleep in for vacation. The construction was in the campground so it sucked. Also got treated like a juvenile trying to check in! DO NIT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!
We really enjoyed our stay here! Comfy cabin with everything we needed for our vacation. WiFi was great. Beds were comfy with plenty of extra pillows, linens and towels. TV’s, games and pool table and arcade we enjoyed using each evening. Hot tub was nice on the cooler nights.
Only complaint was construction that started at 7 each morning (jackhammer for an alarm clock).
Other than that it was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was clean and our teens really enjoyed the arcade and pool table while we relaxed in the hot tub. We will totally consider booking again the next time we are in town.
We had a great time during our trip! The cabin was wonderful I liked how easy the check in process was and the hosts are easy too communicate with. Its near all the attractions and the pool table and hot tub are great after a busy day. It’s very clean and has enough room for the whole family. Perfect for a family getaway and I highly recommend others to stay here as well.
Rocky Bear Retreat was a great family cabin. It wasn't too big so we didn't feel overwhelmed but was just enough privacy for dad & mom to relax and areas for the kids to hang out. But also provide common areas for dinners on the back balcony or movie in the living room. The owners were very responsive to our inquiries and since this was our first time we had many. They were very accommodating and made the stay smooth.
Our family has stayed in several cabins in the Wears Valley area, and this cabin was absolutely the cleanest. It was the first thing we notice.
Our stay was wonderful. We had a small problem one evening and Eric had it fix the next day. I highly recommend this cabin. Easy access to Pigeon Forge and grocery stores.

We booked this cabin last minute due to Hurricane Ian cancelling our beach plans! This cabin was perfect for our family and so convient to everything in Pigeon Forge. My son especially loved the pool table. The cabin was so cozy and comfortable, plenty of room for our 3 kids. We hope to come back and rent this cabin again! Thanks for the relaxing weekend!!!
