About this property

Vrbo Property

A quiet and comfortable waterfront retreat - close enough for a quick getaway, but far enough away to feel like a complete escape to nature. Enjoy 350 feet of shoreline with an expansive view of Lake Sinclair, featuring a private, easy-access dock, a comfortable outdoor fire-pit seating area and a cozy screened porch with radiant heaters.
Our 1.2 acre lot offers a spacious yard for play and fun, while our home provides a comfortable retreat for rest and relaxation.
Our single-level 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home has been completely repainted throughout and includes a renovated master bathroom and all new beds, bedding, kitchen supplies and laundry room. Everything is comfortable, fresh and ready for your vacation. The house can easily host two families and comfortably sleep 8.
The open concept living area features hardwood floors and two French doors leading out to the screened porch overlooking the lake. The kitchen, dining and living room share the same vaulted ceiling, with new ceiling fans for additional comfort. The living area includes a gas fireplace, Sonos sound system and large screen 4K television for wireless entertainment streaming. The kitchen overlooks the dining area which seats eight, and also includes a breakfast bar with seating for four. The gas range and fully stocked kitchen will make meal-time easy, with plenty of room for gathering.
The screened porch just off of the main living area is perhaps the star of the home. With a comfortable cushioned seating area, a pair of rocking chairs and a dining table for four, the screened porch will likely be where a lot of time is spent. The radiant heaters will take the chill off of morning coffee or evening drinks when the sun is down.
The oversized master bedroom has hardwood floors, a king bed and a sitting area with new queen sleeper sofa – plenty of room for even a family of four to share the space. The ensuite bathroom has been completely renovated into a beautiful modern, yet rustic space. French doors open from the bedroom onto the deck with a stunning view of the lake. The second bedroom has a king bed and French doors to another deck with a lake view. The third bedroom features a twin bunk bed that sleeps two, and a trundle bed that sleeps two more. These bedrooms share a full bathroom easily accessible by each room.
Our home makes enjoying the lake a seamless part of your day, just steps away from the house. The large dock with covered boat slip great for swimming and fishing, or bring the chairs down and simply enjoy the view. Guests are welcome to use our 2 stand-up paddle boards and 2 kayaks. Stairs off the seawall allow easy access for your paddling or climb up the ladder back onto the dock after jumping in for a swim. Rent a boat or jet skis.

What makes this property unique

Things to Do
Across the lake from our home is Oconee Springs, easily accessible by kayak or a 3 min boat ride. It features its own large beach (which our kids love), massive inflatables for the kids during the warm seasons, marina, gas, convenience stores and campground. Throughout the lake there are several marinas and restaurants, the closest being the Grill at Crooked Creek, about a 15 min boat ride.
Much of the charm of our home is due to its location. Located on the Northwest side of Lake Sinclair, the surrounding area is quiet, very rural, and beautifully scenic. Lake Sinclair is known as one of the quietest and cleanest lakes in Georgia, and also stays at “full pool” year round. It is known for it’s plentiful catfish and bass. Lake Oconee and Lake Sinclair are connected by the Wallace Dam, and therefore share the same water from the Oconee River.
Milledgeville, the former capital of Georgia, is the closest city about 35 min away, home to the picturesque Georgia College and State University; a charming downtown with a variety of bars and restaurants and shops; plazas with usual restaurants and stores, and Bartram Forest (popular for hiking and mountain biking trails). Sparta is the closest small town, about 20 min away
where you can find the nearest grocery store and ACE hardware but not much else.
The Ritz-Carlton Lodge at Lake Oconee is 50 min away, which features a world class resort with golf, spa, and steakhouse.
