The host was easy to communicate with. The house was nice and it was in a location that was quick for us to get to all the places we went when we were there. I'd use again the next time I'm in Albuquerque.
This has become our go to place to stay when visiting Albuquerque. Located seemingly close to everything this place has all the amenities to make your stay enjoyable. Our dogs love the fenced in back yard and neighborhood is reasonably quiet and feels safe.
Relaxing and great place to stay with a nice big back yard for our dogs.
Owner was responsive and easy to work with.
Very comfortable and close to everything we wanted to do.
Highly recommend!
This was a great property for our stay in Albuquerque. It's in a very central location to shopping and restaurants. It had a wonderful backyard for our dogs or for just enjoying the outdoor air.
The heating is not ideal in the back bedrooms.
It was a great location and well stocked kitchen. Has a couple high step issues for older people, need warning tape, Not enough seating in the main living area and no real eating area for more than 4 people. We spent most time dining out, but would be a problem for group meals. The management was great about answering questions.
Enjoyed ouur stay. Only had a couple of days in town and this property was very nice. Proximity to Coronado center and parkand ride made it easier to get the morning launch.
Genelyn was very responsive, cesoecially when we got locked out of the house.
Our family of 5 found the property perfect for our Albuquerque adventure! Easy location, nice amenities and the little extra touches made it feel special. Batteries needed for most of the remotes but other than that it was a great placed for us! Thank you!
The drive way was large enough to have our kids over and the home was a perfect size. Loved the yard!
The beds are a little hard but the kids didn't seem to mind. Favorite amenity in the home was the heated toilet! Lol husband loved it.
The location was perfect! Thank you for hosting us! We will stay again!
My boyfriend and I stayed with my mini doxie and the house was perfect for us. This would have been a great home if you were traveling with more people. The three bedrooms were big and there would have been plenty of room. The backyard was secure for the dog and we enjoyed the patio. The weeds in the back were pretty aggressive but that usual in the spring, the patio was all we needed anyway and we enjoyed sitting outside watching the road runner and other birds.
Great location for Expo activities and our two dogs !
We enjoyed staying on this property and it was super convenient for an event at the Expo. It actually seemed very centrally located to everything we did. Owner was very responsive to all communication and very respectful of our stay time. Neighborhood is a little bit older but we felt very comfortable. The fresh cut flowers were a welcoming touch. Accommodations were comfortable and kitchen well equipped. Parking area a nice bonus as we could even play a bit of frisbee without concern about landscaping! Would easily stay here again !
My fiancée and our pup spent five wonderful nights at Casa Agave. The house was absolutely immaculate. It’s full of beautiful old interior doors, wood floors, “fancy people” master bath and kitchen, the yard was perfect for our little dog, and the master bed is something out of a fantasy (I wish I’d looked at the mattress brand!). We had a number of things to do on our wish list and ended up spending two full days just nesting on the comfy sofa in front of the fireplace.
Gen is the most gracious and thoughtful host. There were snacks on the counter and cold flavored waters in the fridge when we arrived, a beautiful gesture after 14 hours in the car. We felt 100% safe both in the house and with our rental car in the large gated side yard. We wanted for nothing the entire time, as every detail was clearly attended with the guests in mind (bountiful soft towels, pretty soaps by all the sinks, reusable shopping bags in the kitchen, shower amenities that smelled divine, etc.) I would not hesitate to stay here again and again and have driven everyone I know crazy talking about how perfect a day was relaxing by the fireplace eating Sadie’s hot salsa!
We stayed at Gen’s home for 3 weeks and it was perfect for us. Gen was so very kind and easy to communicate with. The home has a huge fenced in backyard and another huge fenced in driveway and side yard. We had our dogs and it was perfect. Close to shopping (Target, Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, Dillard’s, etc) freeways, a lovely dog park within walking distance with friendly neighbors and beautiful Alterra (sp?) Park very close too. The home has a large master suite, walk in closet and bath and multiple bedrooms. One back bedroom connects directly on to the second one; we didn’t use it to sleep in - but it’s perfect for an older teen, extra workspace away from family, another couple, or just for a separate peaceful room that connects directly to the backyard sitting area. The home’s master bath and kitchen have been remodeled and we thought the beds were really comfortable. I’ve had a disc replaced in my back so firm comfortable beds are everything for me! If you are looking for a new “fancy” place, this isn’t it, but if you want a cozy home that’s family and pet friendly with everything you need, and includes a backyard kids and pets will love to explore while you swing away listening to birds, then this is for you. We would definitely stay again if Gen would have us.

Mixed feelings on this stay
Location of property is pretty convenient. Close to freeways and stores. If you’re looking for a place where you can walk to restaurants, coffee shops, little shops - this isn’t it.
The listing itself wasn’t accurate. There were two bedrooms, not three (no pullout sofa or day bed in the third room). You have to walk through this room to get to the second bed. No bidet, but heated toilet seat. Kitchen was poorly stocked. Stove only had two working burners. It was replaced by a smaller model which was fine, except it couldn’t accommodate the pans. The seasoning rack only had salt and pepper. The dishwasher can’t clean anything. The drains kept backing up when the washing machine, dishwasher or water in the sink was used. It took several discussions to get it fixed. It was really gross. Your heat and air conditioner are in room wall units. The would mostly work- the one in the second bedroom stopped working towards the end of the stay. The house is fine, it’s just old and needs some things replaced instead of patched together. The yard is great. Very big with a nice fence. The gate is kind of a pain, you can only latch from the outside. It came loose once and fell on me. That was unpleasant.
New Mexico itself is absolutely beautiful. Albuquerque is a lovely city and a great base for all kinds of day trips. There are tons of activities and lots of cool people.
Accommodated two couples comfortably. Especially enjoyed the backyard and porch area, for visiting during the morning and evening hours. Home is especially pet friendly. We travelled with a small dog, who really enjoyed the backyard. Although the neighborhood seemed very safe, it was nice to be able to park both cars behind the gate.
This location is convenient to the places in ABQ which we enjoy the most.
