Serenity Lake Vista

We had a wonderful 4 day stay at this property. It was very quiet on this lake and the home was clean and just as we expected. There were good gathering spaces for conversation, eating, and gaming. Close to South Haven for shopping also. We would definitely recommend this house to friends! Thank you!

Annual girls trip

We are 4 women who travel together every October. We loved this property! The house was extremely clean, beds comfortable, kitchen very well appropriated, awesome firepit, beautiful views! The lake was actually closer than it looked in the picture. Nicole was available to answer questions and came to the house twice to communicate with us re: some work going on behind the property. We would definitely come back!!

House is great...the lake isn't for boating

The house was as expected. The description and photos of the house gave a good representation. Everything was clean and in good shape. The deck and hot tub were nice, and the fire pit area was great! The only downside was the lake itself. It is a very shallow lake, and a majority of the lake had seaweed everywhere. It made it very difficult to use the pontoon boat we brought up with seaweed catching in the motor. Once we got to the other side of the lake, there was a section that was better for boating. If you are looking for a lake to boat in, this might be the ideal place...BUT if you are more focused on fishing, sitting by the fire and kayaking, then this house is a great option. The town of Pullman doesnt have much at all, but other town werent too far away. Overall, this was a nice house to stay in for the weekend!

Michigan getaway

Nice clean house with lots of space. The longer I stayed there, the more I liked it! Kids has fun taking the kayaks out on the lake and caught lots of little sun fish. It was hard to fish because the pond does have a lot of water grass. So you can’t cast out or the hooks get caught in the grass. You kind of just had to drop the hook right where you were. The house was about 25 minutes away from South Haven and pretty much everything else, but it was worth it to be on the lake. Just ignore the run down properties on the way to the house. This house gave me lake life envy for sure!

Nice family getaway

We had an enjoyable multi-generational family time together at the house. Plenty of room for all of us (9 people ranging from 13 to 82) and plenty of "stuff" to make the trip enjoyable. We cooked in the kitchen for all meals and found it well stocked for everything that we needed. The lake is very peaceful and we saw tons of interesting wildlife. I imagine it is a great place to fish though we didn't do that. We loved going out in the kayaks and on our SUPs. We didn't travel out so don't know about area around house. All in all, a good place for family fun and reconnection. Thanks for the experience!

Perfection

My husband & I, along with my parents and brother, stayed at this property for a family wedding nearby. It was perfect in every way. Elizabeth, the host, was accommodating, professional, and prompt in her communication. Our local host was also very helpful on arrival. Plenty of room and a well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed the hot tub, kayaking, and fishing from the dock just steps from the house. We are already talking about returning in the future for a “reunion”! Highly recommend!

Everything we needed!

This was a lovely place, a kind of "Golden Pond" in the spectacular fall. Very, very clean with comfortable furniture and an electric fireplace which was great for the ambience. Well appointed kitchen with every tool we would ever need and then some. Beds were very comfortable (and there are lots of them) and the bedrooms were so quiet you could hardly tell there was anyone else in the home. Plenty of places to sit and read, with views of the Lower Scott lake complete with Canada geese, blue heron, swans and ducks. Truly fits its name, Serenity. The care taker was very responsive when we discovered the WiFi wasn't working correctly and within a day it was all taken care of. No complaints. We would highly recommend this place to stay!

Host profile image
I was raised in southwest Michigan, in the Grand Rapids area, and I have always reveled in the natural beauty to be found here in our Great Lakes State. I just love being near the water, so any chance I get to be near a lake is a perfect opportunity for me to relax and unwind. I hope you get to know our beautiful state when you stay with us, because to know it is to love it!

Why they chose this property

I was immediately drawn by the natural beauty of the lake and its environs — not to mention the extensive outdoor activities and peaceful surroundings. Since then, I have made it a priority to spend as many summer weekends in the area as I can.

What makes this property unique

This home was specially designed for small groups and families who want to escape the mad rush of daily life and spend time growing closer to one another while experiencing all the tranquility and enjoyment that "life in the country" has to offer. We have worked to provide a balance of comfort, functionality, charm, and fun throughout our home and grounds. We designed our outdoor spaces to provide maximum opportunities for gathering together to enjoy good meals and good conversation. We hope that the calming lake views from the expansive front deck will inspire and relax you as much as they do us. We love creating welcoming spaces that draw you in with their charmingly-decorated rooms designed with great care, and our greatest desire is to see you return year after year so you can continually create memorable moments with those you love.
