Fourth generation farm since 1943 featuring the pre-1875 house including a gas fireplace, wifi, Roku, and jacuzzi tub. Free range chickens on farm provide complimentary fresh eggs! Chester the orange mackerel tabby lives outdoors but would love to be in indoor cat. Conveniently located in northwest Holmes County and 10 minutes from Shreve and only 20 from Wooster, Millersburg or Loudonville. Enjoy a relaxing day in the country or local attractions just minutes away including Sunny Slope Winery, Hershberger's Bakery, Harvey's Market (April through October), Maw Maw Diner, Brown's Lake Bog, Shepard's Market, and Holmes Pottery.. Find some deals at Prairie Lane Market and Weaver Basic Food, have lunch and shop at Pine Tree Barn. If you like a less stressful Amish experience, this is for you.

A Peaceful Escape

This property is so beautiful, especially during the fall time! My fiance and I came here for a peaceful fall getaway to explore Mohican State Park. The pictures and description reminded me of my grandparent's farm so naturally, I booked this place right away. We did get to see Chester the orange tabby as he was very friendly. It was so nice to walk around the property and admire the views. As someone who has a hard time sleeping, it was easy to do so here! The beds are very comfortable. I 100% would recommend booking this property.

Weekend Family Trip

It gave us the real feel of Amish country staying in an old farmhouse in the country. Short drives through the countryside to get yo the locations we anted to visit.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was so peaceful and quiet. We were close enough to Loudonville to enjoy Mohican and far enough away to get away from the crowds at the end of the day. The house was very clean and the views are beautiful! We hope to visit again. Maybe in the fall to enjoys the leaves changing which I’m certain will make for some beautiful scenery. If you visit, make sure to stop at Harvey’s market, just down the street, for a huge selection of delicious produce. Barb was a wonderful host!

Country quiet at its best!

This is a true country property perched on the top of a hill where you can see for miles. The house is large and comfy and an easy drive to all of the local attractions. This is a great location to just sit and enjoy the quiet and find your peace. We will be back!!

Country Farm House Experience

If you are looking for a country farm life experience, look no further. This is a quaint country house in the heart of Amish country side. Full amenities, including a working farm with fresh eggs. The house is full of antique pieces of furniture. However, it is lacking in the family community space. Living room furniture is sparce for a family of five to enjoy.

Autumn retreat

We both grew up on a farm so we loved being able to walk out through the fields, watch the sun rise while sitting on the porch with a cup of tea, and seeing the beautiful autumn panoramic view!

Amish Weekend

We spent four days at the farmhouse. It was a wonderful time. Close to every place. Be sure to have breakfast at Maw Maw's Dinner. and do the Sunday Brunch at Pine Tree Barn. Harveys Market is a huge fruit stand. You can even go after they are closed. Just drop your check or cash in the box for what you buy. The farmhouse is very secluded. Never heard any sounds of other people. A couple of mornings the fog set in and the picture postcard was fantastic. The cows enthusiastically welcomed us home at the end of every day!

This was the perfect stay for getting out of the normal rush and speed of everyday life. Quiet, peaceful and just overall relaxing. Everything was perfect on the stay.

Country get- away

We loved the house and esp. the rooster. The last night there was issues with the hot water tank. (no hot water). It was because the basement was filled with several inches of water. There is a drainage problem, it is plugged up. We turned the gas off to the water tank to be safe, other than that we had a good time. Thanks!
