Welcome to Maison de Couillon! Beautiful lake house on serene Bundick Lake!

Maison de Couillon is a beautiful, family friendly, 3 bedroom 2 bath elevated cabin on Lake Bundick. 2 bedrooms both with king size beds and one bedroom with double bunk beds. Wood burning fireplace and fire pit outside. Property does not have an elevator and there are many steps. Boat dock on the water. Spectacular views of the lake! Great fishing and quiet evenings! Come sit by the lake!

Disclosure: this is an rural outdoor location. There are bugs (lovebugs swarm around September), critters, snakes, alligators, bad storms and more. The internet and sometimes the electricity will go out during storms. While we do our best to live in harmony with nature, we can not control these things. Please be prepared for the great outdoors where anything and everything can happen!

A piece of paradise!

We had an amazing stay at this VRBO property! The house was incredibly spacious, clean, and comfortable, making it the perfect spot for our family to relax and enjoy time together. The lakefront view was absolutely stunning, and we loved spending time on the dock—whether it was for morning coffee or evening sunsets. The property was well-maintained, and the layout of the house made it easy for everyone to have their own space while still enjoying the communal areas. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a peaceful, beautiful getaway by the water!

Great Stay

Stayed while in town for a memorial. Enjoyed spending some time with family members, cooking meals together, and enjoying the peace and quiet of the area. The house was well equipped with everything you needed for a nice stay. Will definitely be back!

Staycation

We decided to make a trip to the area for my mother in laws birthday and to visit family. The house had the most amazing view of the lake and so peaceful exactly what we were looking for. The host was amazing as well communicated in a very timely manner and the home was clean and perfect for the family. We will definitely be back!!

Great place

Claire was easy to talk to and quick to respond. The place was quiet and relaxing even on Labor Day weekend. Covered fishing dock was great. The house was stocked with stuff like seasonings and kitchenware. There was a kayak and boat that we were able to use. Comes with an old smokey grill and a propane grill too. Place was great overall and would definitely go back.

Nice, relaxing place on lake

Property was just like the description. Loved fishing of the deck and did catch some catfish. Very relaxing place to stay and host answered our questions in a very timely manner. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful home

This was the best family vacation we have been on. The location was great. The home is beautiful and has some stunning views. The host was great to work with. We would highly recommend staying here. I know we will be back.

Working Vacation

Just stayed at this property helping my son and his wife move. The property was amazing, wonderful, and had everything we needed. It was exactly as described. The Host was fantastic and communicated promptly. She even e-mailed to alert me to a potential "nature" event that happens annually in the area before she took our deposit. I wish we had more time to enjoy the porch overlooking the lake with coffee. The sunrise and sunsets were fantastic!! I will definitely stay again when I am in the area.

We totally enjoyed the property very much. The kitchen was well outfitted. The large screen TV worked for our presentations. The Wi-Fi worked well. The beds were comfortable. Everything was clean.

Easter weekend

Excellent lake house for the Easter weekend. We had a youth camp at Dry Creek camp down the road and this was the closest I could get. Everything was very clean. Beds were super comfortable. They even had toys that my 2 year old daughter was able to play with. I would be more than happy to stay there again. The host was always fast to respond to questions.

Family visit

Cute little cabin on the lake. We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It was the perfect size for our needs. Before leaving we were talking about when we would come back. It was exactly as described. The owner was very responsive to all questions. The cabin was fully stocked. I highly recommend this cabin as the place to stay on the lake.

Lake house getaway

The home, property and location exceeded our expectations. The home was so comfortable and had everything we needed for our stay. During our stay, the lake was scheduled to be undergoing a “let down” for dam repairs and maintenance and this was communicated to us in plenty of time by the host for alternate plans to be made if desired; despite the lower water elevation, the views were beautiful. Very comfortable, relaxing and peaceful stay!

A great weekend at the lake

We had 10 people in our party and with an air mattress we had plenty of sleeping space. We used the grill and bbqed for everyone. There were plenty of dishes for everyone and a washer and dryer available. We didnt catch many fish but we did see an alligator the first evening which everyone loved. The porch is great for sitting and visiting with the family and catching up. We enjoyed our stay. There are a lot of stairs to get in and out as the house is on stilts.

The stay was awesome. We had 4 children and 3 adults for the stay. The home was very spacious. It had plenty of room for everyone and more. We enjoyed the dishwasher and the washer and dryer. The last few places we had did not have washer and dryer. The home was also well stocked with items to cook with and spices to help. In town for grandson's bday

Arrived friday evening for a saturday bday party...then home on sunday. Needed a separate space because remote work was too disruptive to stay with family. House and location were perfect! We are moving to Mexico and hope to utilize this home for future visits back to USA to be near grandkids.

Lovely Find!

A group of us stayed here for a girls' weekend in August and just loved it. We stayed at the lake house overnight and then did day trips around the DeRidder area. This place was lovely. Even with the lake on drawdown, it was still very pretty and relaxing. It was over 104 degrees when we stayed so we didn't spend a lot of time outdoors except in the early morning on the deck. The house was clean and organized with comfortable beds and furniture. Our host was very responsive when we had a few questions. We would definitely recommend this property and look forward to staying here again when we come to DeRidder. Thanks!

Beautiful and relaxing

Claire is a great communicator and usually responds within minutes. The kitchen wasn’t as clean as I Like it but we were able to get there fairly quickly. Washer and dryer worked amazing- we kept up on laundry while we were there. Hot water was plentiful! Four of us showered every evening without ever running out. - also, great bath towels! 😊 Would’ve loved to have a camp fire but the grass was pretty long. All in all the views, location, communication, and internet/streaming was fantastic. All of the appliances worked VERY well. (They had a fridge part on order) but fridge and freezer/ice maker still worked great. Claire responded to my concerns with respect and concern to pay closer attention to in the future. She is a wonderful host!!! We would definitely stay with her again!!

No hot water

Three out of the five days I had no hot water. The first day I wasn’t even able to get to the property but the owner claims she didn’t know how to refund the money. The second day they were working with a jackhammer on the house until 8 PM and the final three days I had no hot water. Then the owner decided I was only do a $300 refund. Which is less that half of what i paid.
