We invite you to our modern ranch house that is situated on 20 acres and is located on one of the highest peaks in Chalk Mountain - it is the perfect location to get away, find seclusion, and explore the nature trails throughout the rolling topography of the property. We are also located minutes from Rough Creek Lodge and conveniently located to Fossil Rim, Dinosaur Valley State Park, and the Paluxy River - or spend time dining and shopping in Hico, Stephenville, Granbury and Glen Rose.

About the host

G'day! We are Jeff and Jen and we consider ourselves citizens of the world. Jeff is originally from Australia and Jen is a military brat who grew up everywhere. We currently reside in the DFW area and we use the airport and our cars regularly to fly/drive off to explore the wonderful planet that we call home! When we do travel, we like to stay in short term rentals and it is for this reason why we decided to share our special home in the Texas Hill Country with all of you. If you find yourselves in our neck of the woods, we invite you to be our guest and hope you find contentment in our little piece of paradise. Keep traveling!
Why they chose this property
We love this little slice of heaven for many reasons: it's beautiful and hilly. It's secluded and a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of the big city. And it's in the Texas Hill Country - our favorite area of Texas - and located just outside of our favorite small towns.
What makes this property unique
Our place feels far away from everything but it is only a 10-15 minute drive to downtown Glen Rose, Hico, and Stephenville where there are many things to do and see.
