About this property

Mountain Cabin & 20 Acres- Snowmobile/Bike/Hike (trails on property and off)

Flat rate for parties of up to 8 people. VRBO charges booking fees and sales tax, I have no control over this. In the winter, when there is snow, the access is limited to snowmobiles only. You can not drive a 4x4 on the groomed snowmobile trail to access the cabin, because you will get a ticket for ruining the snowmobile trail. There is turn out parking 1/2 miles down hill for a couple snowmobile trailers and trucks. This comfortable, roomy 4 bedroom cabin sits on 20 acres. Private trails through out the property and it is up against forest service lands. You can ride on the cabins private land, or ride directly out on to the 100's of miles of forest service trails straight from this cabin. Remote feeling cabin is less than 5 miles from down town Cle Elum. Gorgeous views of Stuart Mountains, lights of Rosyln, Lake Cle Elum. Bon fire pit, sledding hills and privacy. Bring your toys there is plenty of room. Cabin has 4 bedrooms (all with queen beds) For extra large partys there are also camping spots with an outhouse available. (no RV hookups) Cabin sits up off of maintained snowmobile trail Forest Service Road 3350. Party's must include at least one individual with some mechanical capabilities as this is an off the grid cabin. The cabins electric is run on a generator. There are TVs for videos only. No cable, no internet. The heat, stove and water heater are run on propane gas. There is a high iron content in the water in all the homes on this side of the mountain, so you need to bring drinking water. Well mannered, housebroken dogs are welcome as long as they are kept from chasing wildlife and dog messes are picked up off all walkways and trails. There is no hunting on the property. Burn bans are frequent by mid summer, so don't assume you can have a bonfire unless your booking very early spring, very late fall/winter. Again, renters must have at least one person in their party who knows how to run a generator, ignite a water heater and fill a bladder tank. This property and cabin is perfect for the outdoor loving, adventurous types.

Fun rustic experience. It was great getting away for Christmas.

We loved the place. The sledding hull was great fun. The cabin was nicely laid out and g h as everything you needed. The only down sides we had was when running the generator it was pretty loud inside and when the generator was not running you did not have running water. Besides that this place was great and everything we hlwanted and hoped for Christmas.

Jackpot!

This cabin and the property far exceeded any expectations our group had. From my initial conversations with Lori, to checking-in and check-out everything was awesome. Throughout the entire time, Lori was patient with every question I asked, was quick to respond, and very accommodating. Directions were provided and very detailed - do not use your GPS and be sure to follow the directions - will save you time in the long run. Once we arrived, we unloaded our stuff and then proceeded to make sure we could start the generator, figure out the water bladder, and turn on the propane. Everything was easy. Upon entering the cabin, you know you have hit the jackpot. Bigger than it seems, kitchen was enough for two, and a nice cozy area to eat and relax. We are campers, but did not reserve a spot for Memorial Day weekend in time, when I happened to find this cabin on VRBO. This cabin allows you to feel like you are camping (fire pit, beautiful views, quiet), while providing the comforts of a home (bed, kitchen, water). It rained some the whole weekend, but we still stayed outside most of the time. We brought our UTV's and there are a few trails on the property, but so many close to the property – a perfect location for any ATV/UTV/4x4 riding. Everyone in our party loved it so much, we are hoping this becomes our annual Memorial Day Weekend getaway. Thank you, Lori!

Just what we were looking for.

This was a more remote area than I could find elsewhere. Great camping like setting. For the price, I'm not sure I could find a better deal. Instructions to get cabin set up was very easy and the owner was easy to contact through the whole process.

Tranquil. And fun.

We took our kids and their friends. The house was well laid out and comfortable. The owner, Lori, was helpful, responsive, and accommodating. The kids liked it too. We agree it would be a good place to return to.

Beautiful, off-grid cabin fun

This is a large, rustic cabin in the woods outside Cle Elum. The property is sprawling and has some great views. Exactly as advertised - it's off the grid, meaning you have to be comfortable with starting a gas generator, firing up a water heater, etc. If you've never stayed in a cabin that wasn't on city electric you may find this mildly inconvenient, but if you generally camp in an RV or backpack this place is the lap of luxury and you will love it. The owner (Lori) was GREAT about communication and friendly/professional throughout. We really enjoyed it here - we wandered the trails, practiced archery, and floated the Yakima river. We stayed in summer, and the final stretch of road is gravel and a little steep, but we had no problems in our passenger car. Definitely recommended. A good price for what you're getting.

Perfect Getaway

Lori was great to communicate with. amazing place to stay - actually bigger cabin than photos made it look - that's a rarity! riding was a blast - we have 2 little's on 50's that were able to take off and go the 'field' area and go all around - without having to pack up the truck and go somewhere to unload etc. Generator ran like a charm, plenty of cell service, town was nice and close. We will be back for sure!

Great secluded property !

My family and I had a wonderful time at this cabin! Practically everything you need is already provided we could ride out atv's right there which was a major plus for our family. Also town wasn't too far about ten minutes to Safeway but very secluded. Lori was very helpful whenever we had questions and had responsed quickly! We can't wait to go back! Thanks for the memories!

Wish there was snow

This was a very roomy rustic cabin. The snowmobile trails were nice to hike on. If you want lots of room for lots of people in a secluded spot, this place is perfect. The cabin is clean and large. You are truly off the grid but only a few minutes from town. The generator proved to be a bit of a challenge, but not one that we couldn't overcome. Owners were responsive when we needed information on getting the generator to work.
