About this property

Enjoy fall foliage on the water!

Welcome to RUNAMUKTWO, waterfront on Bonny Eagle Pond. This charming home has been thoughtfully and professionally updated over the years but keeps the original feel of when it was built in the 1930’s as this small lake was homesteaded. The exterior is simple and fits the neighborhood and the interior is warm and inviting.
Bonny Eagle Pond is a desirable destination in the area. Only 15 minutes from Gorham and Windham and 30 minutes from Portland, Scarborough, Old Orchard Beach. The Pond is scenic, with private water frontage and dock allowing you to swim and paddle at your leisure. The lakefront is sandy bottom. During your stay you will fall asleep to the calls of loons and wake to the morning dove’s song.
RUNAMUKTWO, located just steps from the water’s edge provides beautiful sunrises and sunsets daily. Drinking morning coffee or evening cocktail on the deck or by the fire pit, the view of the water is soothing and peaceful. The large windows provide beautiful views from inside and open to provide wonderful breezes on warm days. We have a small garage with two kayaks, two paddleboards, fishing poles, coolers for your day trips and assorted outdoor gear all included in your stay.
The fully equipped kitchen with gas range and propane barbeque outside leave many options for dining in rather than driving in town for dinner. If you do choose to go out for dinner you will find that the restaurant scene in southern Maine will rival the best in the country. We will be happy to suggest some of our favorites.
We are secluded in the woods but have a supermarket, gas, pharmacy and multiple take out restaurants within a couple miles. There is a school with track and field and tennis courts a half a mile away. We have beautiful trails in town exploring the Salmon Falls Gorge on the Saco river. Our neighborhood is all great families who have been here for decades and are all great people.
The cottage sleeps six with three bedrooms and one bathroom.
If you need a chance to escape, RUNAMUKTWO on Bonny Eagle Pond will provide you with just that. Come on your own for a quiet and reflective stay or invite 5 of your favorite folks to share in lake life and create memories that will last a lifetime.
If you are looking for a base camp to see what Maine has to offer; RUNAMUTWO is located an hour from North Conway/ Mount Washington area, 45 minutes to Freeport, 40 minutes to the Naples Causeway.
The camp has a lockbox for self check-in.

My family homesteaded this small lake nearly a hundred years ago. I grew up here and was lucky enough to buy a home on Bonny Eagle after college. This cottage is our second home on the water. We love the area and are raising our family right here on the lake in Buxton. Our main focus is to make sure your visit is perfect and memorable. Check us out and let us exceed your expectations!
