This updated home away from home is located just a short walk to the seasonal Homestead Village for groceries, coffee, and a fabulous outdoor bar called Whiskers. You will be near the resort's ski hills and cross-country trails, and only a 0.2-mile walk to the Lake Michigan beach. Featuring one bedroom and one bathroom, this retreat is ideal for couples, solo travelers, and friends alike. Admire beautiful forest views from your screened porch while sipping on a cup of coffee.

The air-conditioned interior has an inviting living area with a fireplace and TV, a full kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a breakfast bar for two, and a stackable washer/dryer. Additional amenities include a DVD player and high-speed WiFi. Cable TV upgraded to include THE RED ZONE and other sports channels for those chilly afternoons.

weekend getaway to Northern Michigan

We loved the condo, perfect amount of space for a couple. Spent the day seeing beach towns on lake michigan and the nights at home watching movies Very clean and organized. Will come back again for sure

Great setting, especially to view the fall colors!

The Homestead resort is in a perfect area. You can get to all the great little towns in the vicinity in a short period of time. South Village 5 was clean and has great amenities. We especially love the screened in porch. It’s quite comfortable for two adults!

Bring Your own sheets, expect no help from Mgt

The property itself was as pictured, although a bit worn (gum in carpet, racks in dishwasher worn out, etc), but the maintenance and management was terrible. I read a couple of reviews noting no sheets on the sofabed and towel rods coming off but hoped those were temporary problems. We arrived to no sheets on the sofabed so my kid slept on blankets and pillows with no cases the first night. Yuck. I spent about an hour with customer service that evening, but the agent only messages the local company (which does not give out it's phone number) and there is no response. They refused to bring the sheets the first night but did bring them late the next morning. Closest place to buy sheets is Traverse City, 40 minutes drive each way. Then the towel rod fell off and we saw it was not anchored into the wall, just screwed into the patched drywall, so it will keep falling off. Place was mostly clean, debris behind doors and under kitchen bar, etc. It's a shame, this would be a nice place if maintained.

Cute but disappointing

The place was very cute, quaint, well decorated and stocked with necessary items (I.e. toilet paper, paper towel, shampoo, hairdryer). Unfortunately, the view is deceiving - looks like all woods but leads to main drive in resort and popular walking path right out windows (so had to keep blinds closed most of time for privacy which also made it dark). The listing said .2 miles to beach which we never found except for a drive to the “beach club” of which you needed to be a member (this is not included in your rental agreement). Also, upon arrival the place smelled of cigarette smoke, which took a few days and a purchase of an air freshener to clear out. Beware of renters above as their steps are easily heard.

A wonderful condo in the village.

The condo was exquisitely decorated and very well equipped. We enjoyed the woodsy atmosphere, the quietness and easy access to the village.

Perfect spot for a family vacation

We had our 1 year old daughter with us. So many things to do nearby. The place itself was perfect. Had a great little kitchen with dishwasher and washer and dryer. Met and exceeded all our needs. Spent every night on the screened in porch.

Autumn visit at Sleeping Bear Dunes.

This property is a great location for an extended visit to Glen Arbor and the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Perfect for two adults with or without a child or two. The property is well maintained, clean, and comfortable.

Perfect condo for the two of us

This condo worked out great for the two of us: very clean, updated, and cozy. The location just north of Glen Arbor was a great base for exploring the peninsula.

Wonderful Homestead condo!

Clean, cozy and updated condo - perfect for my husband, myself, and 2 young children! A quick drive to Glen Arbor, Empire, Sleeping Bear, etc. Perfect launching point for exploring in Leelanau.

Lovely Getaway

We had a wonderful, wonderful trip and our stay at this lovely condo was a huge part of that! My husband and I needed some rest and relaxation. We found ourselves out and about exploring the area during the day, but we were so happy to just come back to the condo once it got dark to enjoy a cocktail by the fire and watch a movie. We hope to visit again in the future.

Wonderful Experience

It was the perfect property for a couple. The homestead property is beautiful and the proximity to Glen arbor and the heritage trail is great. We made fires every night and the screened in porch was wonderful. We would highly recommend this property and would stay here in the future!

Perfect little condo for the 2 of us. It had everything we needed. We did wish a grill was provided. Everything in the complex was very well maintained. This place was also located by other little neighboring cities that we could visit. We highly recommend this place

beautiful glen arbor weekend getaway

loved staying here!! great for a weekend get away, close to lots of great hiking trails, beaches and good places to eat. the place was exactly as described.. very clean.... super cute and comfortable in a quiet wooded area at the homestead. definitely will be staying again 😊
