• The resort's pools and hot tubs will be closed until the end of November 2024, for renovation. During this time, you may encounter noise, dust, odor, and work crews on-site . In addition, the Wicker lounger is not accessible, and parking is limited. Dates are subject to change.

They canceled our reservation and tried to put us up 20 miles away

This list is not entirely accurate and fair to customers. It turns out that this is a timeshare and when you book your stay and pay for it, you are on a list for a room, but if other timeshare members also want to stay there, you are placed at the bottom of the list. We showed up to check in Friday and were told that our reservation which we made 10 months earlier was canceled the day before and we had no email or any notification. They canceled our reservation the hotel, and did not tell us the third-party reservation companies showed us as still having a reservation. The hotel would not try to help us in anyway they just gave us a number to call for a relocation. We sat in their lobby for 2 1/2 Hours Being put on hold with no one able to help us finally they were going to put us up in a hotel that was 20 minutes away and they cross a large suspension bridge with a total each time. We were going to a local festival where we wanted to be close enough to walk to. After constantly asking for help and calling multiple numbers I finally said you need to get your manager down here at which point the manager manager finally came who duct us two times earlier and put us up in their sister building across the street. They said there was nothing available. There were two single room suites available that they put us an hour other couple in. This was probably the worst reservation we had ever had. We were going to a seafood festival and it would be a busy weekend and they canceled on

GREAT location! We could walk everywhere! We stayed here for a wedding on Goat Island and were even able to walk to the wedding.

Could’ve been great…

This was a mini getaway for our kids, therefore the pool listed was the main attraction. Unfortunately, the pool was closed and construction happening on the property. Worse, I was not aware until after booking. When I attempted to cancel (because the pool was the reason we booked) I was informed it was listed in the posting so I would not get refunded if I cancelled. The one line about the pool being closed was not easy to locate. The main photo is of the pool, under ‘Popular Amenities‘ the first listed is pool, the list of amenities has ‘Indoor Pool’ still listed, in the “About this Property” section it has hot tub and heated indoor and outdoor pools listed. It is not until you scroll all the way down to “Getting Around” section where they note the pool will be closed. This is not an area I would read because I’m familiar with the area. The pool should have been removed from the listing or at the very least, have it noted right at the top of the “About this Property” section. When we got to the hotel they informed us we would have access to the Marriot’s pool on a time limited basis, which we were ok with because at least there was a pool but on the second day we were told the Marriot revoked that so we no longer had pool access. I did not even mind the construction noise because my kids are up early anyway but no pool really put a damper on the trip. This stay had the potential to be perfect because the room was spacious and clean, sadly was disappointing.

Great location, family-friendly

It was a great experience. A lot of places in walking distance, enough room for a family, and a pool for kids to have fun in the evening. We also used grill there, it was really nice.
