My son and I came to stay for Labor Day weekend. The pictures do no justice for how pretty the home is and the attention to detail of the decor. The home is very clean and comes well stocked with essentials. The kitchen has just about anything you’ll need for any style of cooking. Beautiful private view of the marsh behind the house. Plenty of deer, bald eagles and other cool wildlife. Would definitely come back!!
Candy was communicative, easily accessible and generally accommodating. The house itself is wonderful! Full kitchen, incredible amounts of outdoor space. We really enjoyed the stay!
This is an awesome property that is beautifully decorated and surrounded by the wonders of nature. The backyard has great views of the marsh and a large patio to sit and relax. Candy has done a great job with all of her small touches to make the home feel cozy and welcoming. We loved our time at this house and can't wait to come back!
This home has an absolutely beautiful setting! It was great to listen to the birds and see nature all around you. It is a very peaceful area. The home is tastefully decorated and equipped with everything you need to have a relaxing get away.
The owner was very helpful in making this a great time away.
We highly recommend booking this VRBO.
My family and I had the best time at Candy’s home. The house and property are beautiful. Everything was clean. Plenty of room for our family. We enjoyed sitting on their back deck and had bonfires at sunset. Very short drive to Arcadia Bluffs for golfers. Easy to get to Frankfort and Elberta.
Very nice home . Host was very nice. Location very good and beautiful. Lots of wildlife to enjoy. Home very clean. Could use a k cup coffee maker. Has no air ,but has plenty of fans . Has no dishwasher. Otherwise very comfortable place. Nice jetted tub! And maybe more info on the T.V.,has plenty to chose from, however operation unclear, but we managed to watch a good Movie on Netflix. Also you are right by M-22, but once in the house you couldn't here the traffic.
Candy’s house is lovely, has a beautiful view, and was the perfect place for our family while we visited for Arcadia Daze! Everyone enjoyed using the binoculars to look at the birds, the fire pit was heavenly in the evenings, the back deck was so wonderful with so many places to sit and relax, and the kitchen was well stocked. We will definitely try to stay again when we return next time! Thanks Candy!
Very cute home with nice outdoor areas, and view of the Marsh. Several ways to get to Lake Michigan from Candy’s home. Home was clean, updated and supplied with the necessities. We had a relaxing stay and, had a baby with us. Sleeping Bear dunes just a short distance away.
Candy is a great host.
The property was beautiful and the house had everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Candy was great and we would definitely like to stay again
Candy’s property is breathtaking. A beautiful respite from the city. Everything has been thought of down to the finishing touches to create comfort and pleasing aesthetics.
The kitchen was a dream to cook in, a great flow and everything you need to make meals or bake with.
The beds are comfortable and clean, the linens are soft and fresh.
There are so many thoughtful seating areas to read a book, take a nap or to watch your favorite show.
Everything about Candy’s place has been artistically and intelligently thought out—it is our new favorite place to stay.
Thank you Candy, for you kindness and hospitality, we are looking forward to staying again and again!
The property was perfect. We had all the amenities we needed and the outdoor space was ideal. The backyard overlooks the marsh, the outdoor patio, and the screened-in patio. So many options for enjoying the outdoors. The property was a great jumping-off point to go exploring up and down the Lake Michigan coast. And we had the added bonus of being right near the Arcadia Marsh Boardwalk. Definitely a must-do. Would definitely return.
This home was spotless. Check-in was super easy. The home is spacious, peaceful, quiet, and private and exactly as described. It had everything we could want or need. The upstairs bathroom is huge and beautiful. The outdoor space is gorgeous with a nice view of the nature preserve. I sat out there alot just watching and listening. We went to the nearby beach, nearby hiking trails, nearby scenic overlook and drove up 22 to see some beautiful places. We stayed four nights and were extremely comfortable. Our dog seemed to love the place and was very comfortable. Candy was gracious enough to let us bring her and we are very grateful. I highly recommend and would love to come back and stay here again!
We had such an amazing time. The location was incredibly relaxing, the house felt very clean, the beach access down the road and at the park were both great, and walking the marsh was one of our favorite parts. Candy was extremely friendly and helpful. I could go on and on about how much we all enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be booking with her again!
We absolutely loved staying here! The house and property are just beautiful! We really enjoyed just relaxing on the deck overlooking the marsh and all the wildlife. The little beach just down the road was absolutely gorgeous for us & for our dog Luna! The house was beautiful and exactly as pictured. We will definitely come back.
We stayed with my family, wife, 3 young age boys, and her parents. The decor and cleanliness was excellent. Everything was exactly like described. Great outdoor space in back and awesome deck sun room area. Jacuzzi tub was excellent for a relaxing night. Great proximity to many hikes off of M22. We drove back a forth a few times to Sleeping Bear Dunes and Traverse city area. This is a less than a 2 hour trip depending on destination.
Overall owner was very easy to chat with and place was in excellent condition.
*would love an outdoor hot tub!
Our family travels to Arcadia every summer and this stay was one of the best! The house was beautiful, clean, well shocked for cooking and had so many unique features. Our kids loved playing outside and watching the wildlife and we were just a short distance to lake Michigan. Candy was a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. It was a wonderful trip!
