Terrible experience
The house does not have an address and is very difficult to find. Upon arrival I discovered a bedroom window without a lock or screen. I called the host and she insisted it was fine. I sent her a video with proof. She said it was fine, no other person has complained, and I should be safe. I asked for a refund- she refused, and we terminated the call. I called her back to inform her I was not staying there- she never responded. I called VRBO, 3 hours later they made several attempts to contact her- no response. Finally, in the 3rd hour, she said she might be able to get a locksmith the next day to fix the window. At this point it, it was after 9 P.M., and I had just arrived from a 9 hour drive. . I did not stay there. Today, I spoke with VRBO. 48 minutes later, a representative called the host and said the decision for a refund would come from the host- the host declined. I was in her house less than 20 minutes, expressed my concern for safety, and she refuses to refund over $900.00 for a service that was never rendered.
