Awesome Kern Riverfront Home

The Kern River House is perfectly setup, with amazing river views. The added special touches Rod and Carol put into the home (coffee, tea, beach towels, and outside blankets) made our stay extra comfy. The gardens are beautiful, and a perfect place to watch butterflies. This home is a "must" for our next trip to Kernville. Thank you Rod and Carol for being great hosts.

relaxing by the Kern river

Private riverside retreat. Lots of outdoor spaces to enjoy. During our stay the river flow was very fast and there were quite a lot of rafts and kayakers going by. So very cool to watch and cheer them on. The house had all the amenities you could think of- meaning you could cook and not have to brimg anything from home - like OMG I forgot the can opener...Ive done that before. Landscaping like a beautiful park. The sounds of the river were refreshing and lulled you into a good sleep. Oh to dream of owning a house by the river!

Went here for our anniversary and it exceeded my expectations.

This beautiful home sits right on the river and the outdoor landscape is beautifully done. Loved lounging by the river watching rafters go by while my husband fly fished down below. We stayed on the bottom part of the house called River’s Edge. Perfect for a couple’s retreat away. Rod and Carol were so accommodating and you can tell they put a lot of pride into their home. Excited to rent the whole house and do a couples trip with our friends soon.

Home away from Home

We had a great stay at this rental property. The owners thought of every detail in the house to make the stay pleasant, comfortable and beautiful. We’ve stayed with a toddler and a dog and the house offered everything we needed without running to the store to get it. The noise of the river adds an extra charm to the stay and the house is in close proximity to all the restaurants. We would def come back.

Cute couples retreat with a river view.

The property is great place for a romantic weekend, very cute and accommodating. The outdoor area is beautiful with tons of shade and a great view to the Kern River. Although river access is not advised right off the property, there are many spots near by to enjoy water activities such as swimming and rafting. The owners are quick to respond with any questions and made sure we had everything we would need to enjoy ourselves while we where there. We would definitely try to stay there again if we are in the area again.
