About this property
Boaters paradise, beautiful cottage on canal 100 feet from lake.
Quaint and cozy property offering 2 bedrooms and 1.5 baths with open floor plan throughout the dining room, living room and kitchen space with vaulted ceilings. Rustic cabin situated on the canal just houses from the lake! Enjoy lake views from your front deck with plenty of space to dock your pontoon and water toys. Newly renovated laundry room. Great for fisherman, hunters and families. Easy access to ORV trails and lake access 1 block away for ice fisherman.
The lake can be quite shallow at times just outside of our canal. We can't control the lake level or Mother Nature. It usually is plenty deep for a pontoon or an average fishing boat however you will probably have to tilt your motor up. Stay in the center of the canal and head straight out into the lake until you are in at least 3 feet of water.
Renters are expected to fill out the rental agreement with the host and return to the host before rental begins.
We have a Ring Doorbell camera by the front entrance for security purposes.

We wanted a canal location for our pontoon. This place was perfect for our needs. We easily got on the water every day. Neighbors were great and the area was quiet. The living room furniture was very comfortable. There is no air conditioning but there were plenty of fans provided to help cool the place down.
Best weekend with high school friends! Love that we could get our pontoon and dock right at the cabin!! Enjoyed the deck and had a fire. It couldn’t have been the more perfect weekend.
Nice dock right out the back door. Unfortunately, the opening to the channel is only 1.5 feet deep. We barely got our boat in and out of the dock. Nice cabin, but no air conditioning. Luckily, we didn't need it. Very relaxing stay.
Perfect location. Great View. The deck was our favorite place to hang out. The cabin is so cute inside!! Spacious kitchen and living room. We had the best weekend. Can’t wait to go back.
Awesome place to stay! Beautiful sunrise in the morning. Great view of the lake from the back patio. Comfortable beds with plenty of pillows.
Michelle and Tom are extremely friendly and a pleasure to work with. I’m from Arizona on a golf trip and I know I will be staying at the Pickled Perch the next time I’m in town 💯
Perfect weekend stay right along the canal. Sand bar access is right outside of canal.. you can boat or paddleboard out easily. House was clean and comfortable, relaxing back deck and fire pit. Great communication with the owner and easy entry/exit.
Gorgeous little cottage on a canal. Great proximity to plenty of hiking trails and restaurants. Or enjoy the day with quick access to lake Houghton and lounging on the back deck. Cottage was clean with all the amenities you need. Would definitely recommend.
The cottage was perfect for our family summer vacation! The property was clean and was stocked with everything you would want/need in a kitchen. Plenty of fans to help keep things cool at night. The owners offered up plenty of local information (places to eat, things to do) and were very responsive answering all our questions. One point of caution; if you plan to bring a boat it will need to be able to go through shallow water. The depth in front of the canal is about 1.5-2 feet deep. We could get our v-hull in to the canal that drafts about 1.5 feet. Otherwise it was a great place and we enjoyed our time there.
This was a cozy place with a wood burning stove and well stocked for everything you need. Lots of games and books! Great location and close to town and riding trails. We went for Tip up Town 😄.
Our family would stay there again.
