The tiny home was nice and easy to get too. It was clean for the most part. There was a lot of dog hair. Beside that little discrepancy my wife and I had a great time!

Sewage Gas Stink
The tiny house has an issue with sewage gas backing up into the home. Prior to our arrival, the hosts had sprayed down the unit with febreeze in an attempt to cover the smell. We had to sleep with the windows open (in December) to make our overnight remotely tolerable. We attempted to contact the hosts after we left to discuss our stay, and we received zero response after 48 hours. I hope the hosts get this issue resolved and take the time to inform guests if there is a maintenance issue prior to their arrival.
We had a great night away in the tiny house. A couple of tight fits if you’re over 6 feet tall, but if you don’t see that coming with a tiny home, well, that’s on you.
Great experience!
The listing was fairly accurate. The home is super cute and in an easy to find location. One thing I did not care for was the lack of curtains, and the portable fans were not charged so it was a bit warm in the lofts. The hot tub was nice and private. It was a very relaxing stay for my husband and I on our anniversary.
We had a spring break getaway and we needed to disconnect. Having no cell service was the perfect answer! A great little tiny space. Hot tub was hot. The view was gorgeous. We will definitely be booking again!
It was great! The listing was accurate and we expected the house next door but it was still a very private stay. We didn’t have service when we got there to open the Vrbo app to get the passcode to get inside, so we had to backtrack until we got service. Otherwise everything was great! Would recommend!
Clean and had everything we needed! Beautiful view and made memories we will cherish forever.

Quiet get away
Luckily we read the reviews before we arrived so we were aware of there being another place next door. That being said it still felt private and the views were gorgeous. Sitting in the hot tub looking at the night sky was a highlight for sure!
Great convenient place beautiful settting all immenities worked out well. Fun place tp stay.
Very Cozy great views of River. Definately fun adventute!!
Quiet and restful. A great spot that was close enough to Decorah for dinner and shopping but far enough away that it was so peaceful. Great communication with owner!
Did a weekend away for our anniversary. Was great to
Have breakfast on the deck, fire at night all in the setting of the river bank.
The kitchen was great to make breakfast and a morning cup of coffee. We throughly enjoyed the screen door to enjoy the fresh air while we watched a movie in the living room area.
Easy to get to and we’ll stocked with plenty of towels and pans do cook with.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We always wanted to try a tiny home, and loved it inside and out. Being right by the river was serene, with abundant wildlife, especially birds of prey.
My only early hesitation was that in the pictures you didn’t think there was another residence next door, however after staying it was a none issue and still felt like it was private enough.
There is a canoe/kayak rental nearby that was a huge plus for us!
Rest and adventure all in one! Thank you 😊
Adorable tiny home right on the river. We enjoyed the hot tub and having a fire every night. Tiny home was clean and as advertised. Loved watching the wildlife. Lots of bunnies, deer, and heard owls and coyotes. Saw and heard many fish jumping in the river too. It's not the most secluded spot so to another rental nextdoor and the campground down the road but we still had plenty of privacy. So relaxing!
Lovely tiny house, there was another cabin on the same lot not shown in pictures. No curtains on River side for privacy. Hot tub jets worked on one side only. Very quit and serene. Would definitely stay again!
We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary and really enjoyed this tiny home. The location was great as we were looking to be away from everything and relax. We drove to Decorah when we wanted to get out and do things. But this tiny home is the perfect relaxing spot. We were pleasantly surprised with how close it was to the river. The scenery was beautiful. There was plenty of privacy between us and the cottage next door. I know rentals vary from place to place and what they provide, so just a heads up - you will need to bring your own coffee and condiments. They have a regular coffee pot and a keurig. There’s a couple of grocery stores in Waukon just about 15 minutes away. The hot tub was an awesome addition to our weekend of relaxation. We spent a lot of time just hanging out in there and enjoying the views. We had a great stay and would definitely stay again!

Older travelers were kinda disappointed.
I'll stay by saying we're closer to 60 and when we travel we stay in unique places. We even did this before our became popular and had apps. This property was a bit of a let down when compared with other stays and expectations.
1. Based on the photos and description, we expected more isolation.
2. Narrow gravel drive that forks for the two properties to share. There was little turning room.
3. There isn't good cell phone reception. If you have a problem and wanted to TALK to the property owner, you needed to drive about 10 miles to get reception. (Bit worrying for 911 too.)
4. I know it sounds petty but we get up at 4:30 or 5:00 because we have a homestead farm. We like to have coffee first thing. The coffee pot didn't work and we weren't sure how to use the propane stove. We also had trouble with the washer/dryer.
out of date and a bit misleading. I'm glad they changed the direction of the bed and put a barrier next to the ledge of the loft though.
FOR THE OWNER:
Every other place we have stayed has a notebook of all the appliance instructions, tips about communication if cell service is spotty, and maps of the area. This would have been helpful. (Yes, we have stayed in much more remote areas before. )
It is a pretty place and it was clean, except for the grill which was nasty. It could be a great place with more clarity and communication.
