Upscale, luxury rental with top-of-the-line appliances, a chef's kitchen, luxury furnishings, private hot tub, shuffleboard table and much more. All on a very quiet street off the coveted Swiss Lane in Tahoe Donner with a private back yard and full use of all amenities.
The main living area has an open floor plan with pine-wrapped ceilings and a fireplace. The kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, new cabinets, and all amenities, including microwave, coffee maker, dishwasher, and all cooking items and utensils you will need. The dining room table accommodates 8 people, and there are 4 barstools at the countertop. We have two separate family rooms, one upstairs and the other downstairs, which is perfect for families with kids. The kids bunk room is also a great place for the kids.
The 4 bedrooms include: Upstairs Suite with 1 King (and additional sleeping area in closet area with Queen bed for 2 kids under age of 13); 1 Queen bedroom with office; 1 Queen bedroom with couch, TV and sliding door to back deck; and 1 kids room with 2 bunk beds (4 twin beds). (Note that the 4th bedroom and the 2nd family room are the same room. It is an oversized bedroom with couch, TV and wall bed that can be flipped up for more space.) The kids room has books and games. We supply bed linens, towels and blankets, and have a washer and dryer in the laundry room. We have high-speed cable Internet, a high-speed mesh WiFi network, telephone, Apple TV, Xbox Kinect, Wii, shuffleboard table and 2 big, flat-screen HDTVs. The WiFi signal is strong and fast throughout the house.
We are located in the Tahoe-Donner community, which has two swimming pool areas, a gym and workout facility, cross country skiing, and downhill skiing. Downtown Truckee is minutes away, and we are 15 to 30 minutes to Squaw, Alpine, Northstar, Sugar Bowl and Borreal ski resorts.
In the summer, you can enjoy the golf course, tennis courts and equestrian center, plus a private beach on Donner Lake.
The house comes with guest passes that allow up to 6 people to use the amenities for a specified charge per person each day. See tahoedonner.com website for pricing. There is a big back yard with a small creek. In the summer, you can relax on one of the two decks surrounded by pines. There are also hundreds of hiking and biking trails just minutes away, and great restaurants.
We are conveniently located at the Donner Pass Road exit off Highway 80 in the Tahoe Donner community. There are 5 driveway parking spots and 1 spot available in the garage.

For example, there may be times in the winter when there is no snow / little snow or times when I-80 and other access roads are closed because there is too much snow. There may also be times (especially in the summer or fall) when the road access or air quality is bad due to wildfires. Similarly, when there are big snow storms, there may be times when you are stuck in the house waiting for the Town of Truckee snow plows or the Elements driveway clearing service to come to our street/driveway. In extreme conditions, there may be power outages. In recent years, there have also been times when COVID-related outbreaks have affected travel, and the pandemic/endemic nature of these problems makes it difficult to predict whether travel will be affected. By renting our house you are accepting the risk of such occurrences. As a general rule, we cannot offer refunds if any of these factors beyond our control affect your rental of our house.

HOUSE RULES
Please read these rules carefully. If you do not agree to these terms, please contact me within 48 hours of booking and your reservation will be canceled and you will receive a full refund. Most of the following rules come from Tahoe Donner and the City of Truckee, who have been very strict at enforcing the rules, which include significant monetary fines.

NO PARTIES. The house is on a very quiet street with little traffic, and the neighbors will complain and/or call the police if there is a large party or other loud noise. There may be other places in Tahoe Donner or Truckee where the enforcement is less strict.
Please be warned: our neighbors will complain if there is any loud music or noise after 10:00 p.m. and the authorities will shut it down and issue a substantial monetary fine. If you are planning to have a party or to have loud music or noise after 10:00 p.m., please book a different house.
IF YOU VIOLATE ANY OF THESE HOUSE RULES, YOU WILL FORFEIT AND WE WILL KEEP YOUR ENTIRE SECURITY DEPOSIT. IN ADDITION, YOU ARE ALSO RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY FINES IMPOSED, WHICH RANGE BETWEEN $400 TO $1,600 PER VIOLATION.
IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING RULES ARE VIOLATED, YOU MUST VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY.
1. NOISE: The hours between 10:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m., seven days a week are considered quiet hours, during which noise shall be minimized in order that it not be an unreasonable annoyance or nuisance to neighbors.
2. PARKING VEHICLES off-pavement, on other person’s property/driveway or on access easements is prohibited.
3. OUTDOOR LIGHTS OUT after 10PM to enjoy the mountain stars and minimize
light pollution.
4. OPEN OUTDOOR FIRES are prohibited for wood or charcoal fires or BBQs.
5. FIREWORKS AND FIREARMS of any kind are prohibited.
6. PETS must be on leash and under control while at Tahoe Donner facilities. Pick up after
your pet and properly dispose of the poop and bags in a waste receptacle.
7. SMOKING is prohibited inside our house and on Tahoe Donner owned property, this includes facilities/parking lots and open space.
8. TRASH must be locked up in the bear-proof container, never your neighbors’ container or dumped anywhere in Tahoe Donner.
9. CAMPING on private residences is prohibited, including in tents, carts, RVs, etc.
10. DRONE USE on Tahoe Donner-owned property, including open space, is prohibited without prior written authorization from the association.
11. SLOW DOWN on Tahoe Donner streets; the speed limit is predominantly 25 MPH and wildlife, accidents, dogs and children could require sudden stops.
12. USE OF AMENITIES or facilities after closing, either for the day or season, is prohibited.
13. OCCUPANCY LIMIT. No more than 8 adults over the age of 18 are permitted to be at the house between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. The maximum of all persons for purposes of staying overnight, including any children under the age of 18, is a total of 12 persons. With prior approval, we may allow a group of 10 adults, subject to compliance with all other rules.
14. LOCAL CONTACT PERSON. We have a local contact person who is available by telephone on a twenty-four (24) hour basis and who can be onsite within sixty (60) minutes. If you violate these rules and an on-site visit is required, in addition to all other fines and penalties you will forfeit your $1,500 security deposit.
15. POSTED SIGNAGE. Please review the signage posted in the house, which includes information about fire extinguishers on first and second floor, first aid kits and other helpful information.
