About this property
Great Views! A-Frame w Hot Tub, Grill & Fire Pit
Summary: Hawk’s Nest is a cozy mountain-top cabin with breathtaking views and everything you need for your West Virginia getaway.
The highlights: - Relax in the outdoor hot tub! - Grill on the deck or relax on your balcony - Cook s’mores around the fire pit - Stream movies or video calls on the fastest WiFi you can get in the mountains - Drive 10 mins to Cacapon State Park for hiking & golf -- or 20 mins into Berkeley Springs for dining & shopping
Enjoy!
The Space: Our mountain-top retreat is packed with amenities and fun for couples, families or small groups of friends. Beyond the cabin itself, we love how close to everything we are -- particularly Great Cacapon State Park and Berkeley Springs. The park is free to enter and has miles of hiking trails, a beach and small lake, golf course, horse stables, and a clay shooting range. And the town of Berkeley Springs has been voted one of the top arts communities in the US; the shopping, spa, and restaurant scene does not disappoint!
The cabin includes: - Outdoor hot tub perfect for relaxing - 2 bedrooms (one with a queen bed, the other with two twin beds) - A large deck with a propane grill and stunning views - A private smaller deck/balcony upstairs off the bedroom – perfect spot to curl up with a cup of coffee in the morning - Fast WiFi that's good enough to stream movies and hold video calls - Fully-stocked kitchen with a stove/oven and microwave - AC units to keep you comfortable - Wood fireplace to keep you cozy at night - Outside fire pit with seating for the whole gang
We often take our three little kids and dog to the cabin with us, so we're very family- and dog-friendly. Unfortunately we don't allow cats (we're allergic).
One thing to note: about 100 yards off of the back deck are high-voltage power lines that you can see through the trees. There's no safety issue or anything, but wanted to make sure you're aware.

The cabin is suitable for a short stay with all basics to have nice time. Hot tube is a plus. Tony is a good host and always in contact. Couple of small things to improve to make the stay great. The power lines are close to the cabin and they produce a noise. Great location near Cacapot Park and Sleepy Creek Lake.
This cabin is a great place to get away and unwind for a bit. Everything is exactly as pictured - rustic and charming. It is located far enough from Berkeley Springs to seem remote yet close enough to be convenient - good hiking, grocery store and the town are only a 15 minute drive through beautiful countryside.
The location is quiet. You can watch the sun set from the deck as you grill.
The cabin is clean and cozy. The hot tub is a great feature - well maintained and easy to operate.
The owner made everything simple and even checked when I arrived to be sure I had all I needed and then again after the first night to make sure everything was good.
This is a perfect choice if you want a quiet, clean and easy place to stay. I would definitely choose this property again.
We booked this cute a-frame for my husband's birthday. However, the host ran into a problem a few hours before our arrival and needed to relocate us. We did not have a chance to stay at this location. But the host was fantastic. Was very accomodating to what we needed and provided us with a location that was unexpected and beyond our expectations. So although I cannot review this actual aframe, I can tell you the host was phenomenal. Excellent communication and great to work with. Would love to give this location another try in the future.
Communication with Tony was excellent! They were very attentive and accommodating. We only had a short stay but overall the place was really nice and accessible. The cleanliness really should be a 5 star, however some dishes (expected to be done by prior guests) were not really clean. I suppose planning for a dishwasher in the future would help for those guests who don’t know how to hand-wash.
Clean and quaint cabin in the woods. Loved the peacefulness of a cabin in the woods with beautiful views without being too far from civilization. Watching the sunset from the hot tub and having morning coffee on the porch were highlights of the trip.

VRBO GEM!
The view is awesome, and it’s a great getaway spot. We had trouble checking in due to a miscommunication about the door code, but other than that chilling in the hot tub with that view was awesome and I’d totally come by again!
. Quiet retreat in woods. 10 minute drive from downtown Berkeley Springs. Nice pet friendly retreat. Steps were awkward to climb. Overall nice and quiet with great views.
Had a great time at Tony's cabin. I love A-frames, so this was a real treat. The views are fantastic and the cabin was clean and inviting.

I live in DC with my wife and three young kids. I love camping/hiking, drinking (and sometimes brewing) great beer and wine, exploring new restaurants and shops, and traveling all over.
Why they chose this property
We spent years searching for the perfect getaway and wanted to be close enough to DC that we could do a day trip. We fell in love with the area – and The Hawk's Nest in particular. We love how cute and cozy our cabin is, and all the fun outdoor activities we can enjoy year-round. :)
