Condo ok, but location wrong
Hi, here is my review of the stay:
Pros:
The Condo is modern and clean
The kitchen works well, everything is there
The rooftop with the pool is super, also the pool on the ground level is nice
Parking is ok
A water problem on Saturday Feb. 10th was quickly solved
After arrival communication with Hostpal was ok
Cons:
The Condo is nowhere what the description says
It’s far out from Playa del Carmen, You need a car or taxi to get to Playa del Carmen
The beach is not accessible, also not through the MVNGATA resort or Petite Laffite resort
Even if we said we would have a drink at the beach bar, we were rejected
When we booked the condo, there were some pictures from the MVNGATA included, assuming the resort and the condo are related
These pictures now disappeared, but there is still a picture with pictograms including a beach club
The next public beach access is at least a 30 minute walk away
Even after paying we were not told the exact location, otherwise we could have checked
There are bicycles in the basement, but they are either locked or junk (flat tires)
Conclusion:
Without a car this accommodation is not doable
The description of the location is completely wrong
As we had a rental car we stayed until the end although we were not satisfied at all
Telling the exact location only hours before arrival even after paying is a No Go
