Cozy spot in great location

Perfect location to enjoy the central coast with the whole family (pets included). Hosts were very accommodating and communicative. Look forward to returning some day!

Nice Quiet Retreat close to Nature

The Host met me for check-in and gave me a grand tour of the apartment and the grounds. Super nice person! This place is a true retreat, spacious, comfy, & clean!

The Perfect Getaway!

The property is so cozy, close to the beach, and just far enough to feel like you’re in a beachside getaway. We have had a great time there and we are always so happy we chose the birdhouse for our stay. Thank you Jim and Mini for making our little guy’s fourth birthday so special!!

A Great Place To Rest

If I could give "The Birdhouse" more stars I would. Jim and Mini are the best! They made us feel at home right from the start. Their place was so cozy, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. We had everything we needed for our stay. The bed was so comfortable and the fuzzy flannel sheets were a real plus. We slept great! The bathroom has plush rugs and nice thick towels which added to the homey feel! Jim has his beautiful photos on the walls. We also loved viewing his digital photo frame. His photos are so good! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Birdhouse Apartment. We would love to go back and will share this calm and peaceful place with our friends. Wonderful 1-bedroom unit

Location is fantastic for access to Montano Del Oro State Park. A birdy oasis down a dirt driveway, tucked away in Los Osos.

Very welcoming and nice...

We have stayed in the Morro Bay area a few times, and this time was the first using a VRBO for our long weekend. This is a guest house attached to the property owners main house. Private, quiet, with a separate entrance. Comfortable front room with a wood-framed faux leather loveseat and reclining chair. Small kitchenette has a small refrigerator/freezer, microwave oven, and sink. Kitchen was stocked with teas, coffees, and some snacks. Very welcoming. The bedroom is above-average sized with a queen-size bed. My wife and I were comfortable on the tempurpedic style mattress. We kept warm with the blankets and flannel sheets during the chilly September nights. The property is set back from the road and surrounded by trees and foliage. Many birds enjoy the bird feeders and bird baths. Communication was fantastic with the property owner, Jim. Very comfortable property and accommodations. Will definitely consider staying again when in the Morro Bay area.

Cozy Nature Getaway

We recently visited the guest house in Morro Bay for our son's third birthday weekend with our pup, and we can't wait to go back! The house perfectly accommodated us and our dog while we were there. The house was nestled in a quiet, peaceful spot a short drive away from the beach and Morro Rock. The guesthouse had everything we needed to rest in our downtime and eat together before our next venture. The owners made sure we had everything we needed and also spent some time showing us the beautiful pieces of nature around the property. Thank you for an amazing stay, we hope to be back soon!

The Birdhouse near Morro Bay

We had a lovely stay at the Birdhouse. Located in Los Osos, it is centally located and a short trip to Morro Bay and San Luis Obispo. It is quite ideal for a couple. The hosts were wonderful.

Beautiful

We went on a college tour trip and ended at this beautiful place. Hosts were friendly, helpful and welcoming. We really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and taking in nature outside.

Such a special spot!

Jim and Mini are so welcoming and made our trip for my birthday so special. They welcomed us with a bottle of wine from a local vineyard for my birthday when we arrived and sent us home with lemons and apples from their garden! The guest house was clean and very comfortable, and our dog loved being able to do out in the back fenced area. The house is a short walk from a lovely bird sanctuary and we took an amazing bike ride to the local state park right from the house. We would definitely come back!!

Relaxing stay at the Birdhouse

Relaxing stay in Los Osos. Jim and Mini are wonderful hosts. Very clean accommodations. Very quiet. Had our little dog with us and he enjoyed it too. There's a small area that's fenced in where your dog can go out and go potty, which is convenient. My wife and I and our dog all had a very nice time.

It was so quiet and peaceful. It almost felt like we were in the mountains. I loved hearing the birds. The hosts were most gracious and welcoming. They added lots of little touches that made the stay most comfortable including having my favorite brand of coffee with half and half.

Nature lovers house - Quiet and Peaceful

This is a wonderful, quiet and peaceful place to stay. The host/owners are very hospitable. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood. if you love the outdoors and get him into nature, it’s a 10 to 20 minute drive to all kinds of scenic environments. The highlight for us was looking at otters off the pier at the Embarcadero in Morro Bay. we highly recommend this place.

Spotless and welcoming

I had a lovely time staying here. The hosts thought of every detail down to blankets and slippers for cold nights. They also have a comfy reclining chair perfect for reading. The place is spotlessly clean. Would definitely stay here again.
