Riverside Relaxation

The home sits right up next to the National forest property line. Very peaceful and cozy. The bathroom is small and dated, so if that is a must for you, then this is not the place for you. For me and my partner we don’t need all the bells and whistles. Great place to relax!

Great stay here!

The lodging was very good, with an indoor whirlpool tub, located at the end of a deadens lane, by a creek and surrounded by woods. We enjoyed the outdoor fire pit and a great week of shows and fun in Pigeon Forge.

Absolutely perfect

Absolutely gorgeous and one of the best vacations. So private The cabin is a little older but it was comfortable. The sound of the river down below all of the time was heavenly.

Dream Catcher cabin

We loved the little round cabin at the end of the campground. We even had to cross a little stream to get to it and it borrdered the national forest! Fun fishing and sunning on the river right in the front yard. The cute, rustic cabin was perfect for our romantic getaway with the large jacuzzi tub right in the middle of the living room. Cards, music, and dinner on the wrap around porch. Couldn't have been more perfect for us. Will definitely be back.

Nice Cabin and great accomodations.

Cabin and accomodations were great. We had a little difficulty finding the location because of a wrong turn, but eventually we're able to locate it with some assistance from the campground personnel. Clean, comfortable rooms and a fully stocked kitchen made it easy to settle into quickly. Large Jacuzzi was a bonus at the end of the day to relax and sooth legs and feet. I would highly recommend the property to anyone looking for accommodations near the Great Smokey Mountains.

Dream Catcher was very unique. I loved the large skylight. The area outside was very relaxing, listening to the creek at night while sitting by the fire was wonderful! Access to the creek was easy. I will definitely be planning another stay!

Great weekend

We had a great long weekend in the Dreamcatcher cabin. It was so close to the park that we could easily spend a few hours in the park and then enjoy the secluded cabin to relax. It was challenging to find at first, but once we located it, it was easy enough to get to. There were also no trash bins at the cabin to put the bags in. We found a dumpster close by so it was fine. Overall, it was a great experience. I would stay there again and work with the same property management company.

Dream catcher

It is the last cabin on the road so you are mainly surrounded by woods (which we like) It is different then your basic Mountain cabin, very unique even though it could use some updating with the ugly wallpaper and old paneling bathroom. Some decors to match the theme would also be nice. Very peaceful sitting on the wrap around porch and listen to the river in front of you. Even though we thought, at first, it was weird for the jacuzzi to be in the living room it was nice soaking in the warm tub in front of a warm fire.

Beautiful river location with a few minor (fixable) issues

We absolutely loved our stay at this property though there were a few minor issues potential renters should be aware of. The main one: You can't use the oven as there are no temperature numbers on the dial. It's a blank, black dial. We had bought a frozen pizza that we weren't able to use because we couldn't preheat the oven to the appropriate temperature. The other major complaint: The hot water tank seems to be too small for the jacuzzi tub. It took us about 4 hours to fill the tub because the hot water kept running out. Also, there was no "users manual" or welcome guide like I've seen at other properties with instructions on how to use things in the cabin. It took forever to figure out the TV, and we didn't figure out how to turn on the ceiling fan until our second day. Also the 10 a.m. checkout felt too early. Future renters should be aware of these details but overall we LOVED this property. The porch and river access are wonderful. The location is remote enough for privacy but convenient enough to be able to easily go into "town" for a meal or groceries. The bathroom is small but functional. The bed was super comfy. We had a huge rain storm during our stay, and the sound of rain on the domed rooftop was enchanting. The good outweighed the bad, and I would have given this five stars if not for the oven/hot water issues mentioned above. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. (I just would know this time around not to buy anything that needs to cook in an oven.)

"Burr it's Cold Inside"

Over all the place was nice but, the heat was not on and it was 40 degrees in side. Took hours to get to 56 degrees then the power went off. Being -9 degrees out side the heat dropped back down. The power did this twice so we had to leave the next morning not being there even 24 hours. It would be a great summer place to stay but, not a winter one.🥶

Great location

The only thing good about this property is the location. There was no electrical outlet in the bathroom. A lot of the outlets didn’t work and when you plugged something in, it would fall out. Lots of daddy long leg spiders and some type of worms. Disturbing to see all the rodent things that were plugged in everywhere. Cob webs everywhere. No instructions on TV and couldn’t get in touch with anyone. First place we have ever stayed that didn’t have an instruction notebook for the property. Bring a hair dryer with an extension cord to run to another room to the bathroom mirror. Definitely was not worth the price.

Not the worst but could be better

Check in process - easy Management communication - very responsive The good: The home is on dead end street and view of water is great! The grill was out of propane - maintenance came immediately. AC - great working order. Bad to some but things to consider; Online instructions state to put trash in outside container. Reached out to maintenance and was told there is no container and we could bring our trash to their office to put in dumpster or pay $25 for a pick up. Dishwasher does not get dishes clean. You’re given dish detergent but there is no stopper for sink if you want to wash by hand. We cooked all meals but there is not a spatula and lots of pans are too big for oven. Bed is extremely firm. If that’s your thing, you’ll love it. If not, you’ll hate it. Bathroom needs to be updated. It would be nice to have seating around fire pit. If you are taking a vacation to be able to sleep in, forget it - the ceiling has a huge skylight and there is no ceiling in bedroom. It’s wide open. You cross a small creek area and if you have a low profile car, it will drag. I would not recommend riding a motorcycle and the advertisement says you can. We ride and I wouldn’t do it. We did have a bear in the drive - which was awesome!

Location Location Location

The location is fantastic for visiting Great Smoky Mountains National Park and Townsend, especially if you want to mostly steer clear of congested Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Hearing the rushing Little River inside and out of the cabin constantly was wonderful, and having easy access to the river was great. It would be great to leave bikes or a car near the dam in town and tube the river right from the cabin in the summer. The deck is a fantastic spot for grilling and just sitting, and the grill was in good working order. The fireplace was nice, and there is also a good fire pit outside that we did not use. The shower is tiny, so the jacuzzi tub is a nice option. The bed and loveseat, though a bit small, were comfortable. The kitchen was suitable for cooking meals, although the set of knives needs to be replaced with sharper ones, and a dish drying rack, baking sheet, and baking pan would be nice. We had a frustrating issue with the wifi being removed for 5 days (there is no cell service), but we were compensated for that. Overall, the cabin was great, and our cat liked it better than home (and she loves her home).Townsend has some great places to eat and drink. The IGA was adequate for groceries. Our favorite place for food was Peaceful Side Social (sourdough pizzas and soft pretzels with real beer cheese). Good Vibes on the River is great for breakfast. Little River Steak and Trout is good (blackened rainbow trout). Bring bikes and bike the Maryville-Alcoa Greenway.

Location was a 10 but the cabin was a 1

The location of the cabin is absolutely the best but the cabin itself falls way short of acceptable. To begin with it’s not a cabin it’s a domed structure that when it rains it’s like a large DRUM and was built in the 60s I would guess by the condition. The structure is very dated! It wasn’t clean upon arrival even after they say it was. Dusty surfaces everywhere, what little pots and pans there were had to be washed before use, silverware was disgusting! Kitchen wasn’t equipped well at all. Starting in the living room, it only had 1 love seat no other seating. It did have a coffee table which hadn’t been dusted in months! The wiring for the TV was substandard, not professional done! The fireplace was sketchy at best! The firebox had been patched where bricks were missing on the back wall of the firebox with some sort of mortar and there were still holes that you could see whatever was backing the bricks. Fireplace needs replacing! Tiles in front of the fireplace were broken and stones in the hearth were coming loose. The bathroom was laughable! The counter and the toilet were at the height for a child to use! The tile in front of the shower and toilet was loose and moving when you stepped on it! The floor under the toilet was slanted backwards because of I would say the shower/toilet leaking onto the subfloor making it rotten! All interior doors were delaminating! One exterior door had hinge screws pulling out of the frame! Would NEVER rent from this slumlord again!
