About this property

Peaceful Haven, Brewster Walk to The Brewster Store & Breakwater Beach

Enjoy our Cape Cod Home, lovingly maintained and ready to welcome your family in the heart of historic Brewster. We rent by the week, this year we are switching to a Sunday to Sunday rental week during July.

Our home is the perfect place to relax or enjoy the magic of Cape Cod. The The Bay beach at Breakwater Landing is less than a mile away, The Brewster General Store is a 5-minute walk away. Nauset is 15 minutes by car, the bike trail is 5 minutes away. Numerous Brewster ponds close by. All three bedrooms have fans as well as AC, so you can choose!

Our home is perfect for family of four plus grandparents ! Or two couples!

Spacious, clean, quiet, our Full Cape home has a skylight in out kitchen, hardwood floors, and an old fashioned sensibilty. The house has a bright living room with two large sofas, a den with a TV, and three bedrooms upstairs, plus two bathrooms--upstairs and down. The upstairs bathroom has an old-footed tub, extra large and luxurious; downstairs bathroom has the shower. The bedrooms are cool and quiet--AC's in each bedroom give added comfort. Eat-in kitchen is airy and bright with a skylight above the dining area, and equipped with all new cookware, dishwasher and a new fridge! The round table expands to seat 8. Washer/dryer is in the pantry off the kitchen, with a window! A huge back yard and gas grill awaits for those unforgettable Cape BBQs, and a picnic table is perfect for the nights you want to relax at home!

The backyard is spacious, flat, sunny and private. Ringed by shady trees, it's the perfect place for lazy afternoons, cookouts and relaxing. Catch some rays away from the beach in our huge private backyard, while children nap or play when you actually tire of the beach!

Less than 1 mile from Bay Beaches, 1/4 mile from the amazing Cape Cod Bike Trail and the famous country Brewster Store----our home is in Brewster's historic center. You can leave your car at home and walk and bike everywhere you need to go! Terrific restaurants--amazing local seafood, outdoor ice-cream stands--nearby too!

Take a stroll to the The Brewster Ladies Library (open nights in summer!) and indulge in library's Children's Room as well as their grand selection of DVD's and CD's for the entire family and then stop in for a delicious ice cream at The Scoop! Don't forget to pick up some fresh fruit and vegetables and the stand around the corner.

Spend endless days exploring the famous salt flats during low tide or bounce in the waves during high tide, or swim in the cool clean fresh water ponds that dot Brewster.

The bike trail (a 1/4 mile away) has parking available if you prefer to drive to bike, especially with young children. Biking in summer is of course to be done with caution. The roads are busy and people are on vacation!

If there is ever a slight chill, or rainy day, light a fire in the living room and cozy up with a book or movie!

If you are a FALL WINTER OR SPRING renter, our home is well heated with a brand-new natural gas furnace and a super spot to get away for the holidays or just for a break! The downstairs living-room fireplace keeps you cozy at night!

Lovely summer stay in Brewster

We spent a wonderful week in this cozy, clean cottage. This was our first time on Cape Cod, and were pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to access beaches and freshwater ponds, all just a short drive from the house. I was working throughout the week and had no trouble hopping on Zoom calls. The WiFi connection was great. All in all, I’d highly recommend staying here and will definitely see if it’s available when we next return to the Cape.

Lovely and Charming

Really nice, comfortable house in great location. Very comfortable beds, very clean, well stocked kitchen, full size washer/dryer and dishwasher. Only thing we would have liked is an outdoor shower. Great beaches at Linnell Landing, Paine's Creek, Corporation Beach, amazing lobster rolls at Sesuit Harbor Cafe (about 10 minutes away), the Ice Cream Smuggler, Four Seas Ice Cream, Sundae School Ice Cream ( yes, we do like ice cream!), Brewster Bookstore, Wellfleet Drive In, Truro Vineyard and P-town.

Week in Brewster

We stayed at this property in late July. It’s location was perfect in that we were usually no more than 20 minutes to whatever we wanted to get to. The owner was very responsive, including getting us an clothes iron by the next day when we couldn’t locate the one that was supposed to be there. With small kids, we also appreciated the gate at the top of the (steep) stairs.

Special weekend for our daughter's graduation

Our first experience renting a vacation home through VRBO, and Twin Oaks was just the perfect one for us! I would not recommend it for a family with young children; in my opinion, I think the staircase going up to the bedrooms may be a bit unsafe for small children. We were there for Memorial Day weekend to celebrate our daughter’s graduation. It was a yucky weekend, rainy and cold, but the home was so warm and welcoming, we didn’t mind being inside, enjoying a special family connection, playing games, reading, and relaxing by the fire. The kitchen was extremely well-stocked, we enjoyed cooking together. Most of the items were organic with all equipment needed to cook, though we did have some trouble finding certain items such as spices; my recommendation is to check ALL the cabinets/pantries in the kitchen as some are beautifully tucked in the kitchen walls). It was very easy to contact the owner. She is a special person, very accommodating. She shared all the tips to help make our stay memorable since the weather was so unpleasant. We would go back to Brewster hopefully in better weather and be happy to stay at Twin Oaks again.

We had the most wonderful stay

Not enough stars available here to rate our family's experience at this wonderful Brewster home. Prior to kids, my wife and I dreamed of bringing our family from Texas to Cape Cod for an epic summer journey. With a three-and-a-half year old and a five month old, the center of our journey was this home, which came to feel like our own. (The Journey was indeed epic and you can read more about it in the novel.) On the practical side, this house worked very well for our kids at their age. The three-year-old handled the stairs safely and easily. The five month old had room to roll and learn to crawl. As frequent VRBO hosts ourselves, we were particularly impressed with the array of supplies in the kitchen, the pantry, the laundry room, the bathrooms...well, everywhere. Then, there's the library. One could earn a graduate degree in many subjects just working through the titles on these shelves, with an inspiring kids' collection as well. Oh, and the yard. As I type this, a bunny is hopping in front of me just below the cardinals nest outside the kitchen window, surrounded by tall trees, a sizable lawn and flowers just beginning to bloom in late June. Mia responded to all concerns and questions promptly and with care. So much so, my wife and I are preparing to go out for date night because Mia arranged us a babysitter. Our family is all well traveled. With grandparents celebrating their 50th anniversary here with us, Texas aunties helping in the journey, and the ability to savor all of the glory of Brewster and Cape Cod, this made for the trip of a lifetime, and I'll just end by saying we hope to be back soon. As long as you don't book it first.

Wonderful and relaxing week on the Cape

After travelling around in New England for almost 2 weeks, we (family of four with two kids aged 15 and 13 from Germany) greatly enjoyed our stay on the Cape in this wonderful house. It was everything we expected and we found everything just as charming as described and shown on the pictures. The owners were very helpful and super nice - easy in handling everything upfront and during the stay and recommending great places to go. We loved the farmer´s market in walking distance and since it was a very hot week enjoyed bathing in the Ponds nearby (especially the Sheeps Pond) a lot. The house was very clean and the big back yard a great place to relax after returning from trips during the day. The kitchen was fully stocked with everyting we needed and it was also very good to have the washing machine and dryer. We would come back again and definitely recommend this property!

Great property in great location in Brewster

My family of four with two children ages 8 and 10 stayed for a long weekend at the beginning of summer. House was charming with bright, sunny kitchen. Kids loved claw-foot tub. Nice to have such large front and back yards. Kids played ball and rode bikes on property. Owner was responsive and easy to work with. Close to heart of Brewster. Loved the Brewster General Store. Kids took books out from the Brewster Ladies Library. Very close to rail trail for biking. Took in free baseball game at local elementary school (also close). Did kayaking and SUP at Nicholson State Park. Definitely recommend the Museum of Natural History in Brewster. Thanks, Mia, for a great weekend!

Wonderful location, amenities and owners!

We all loved our stay here in Brewster! The house had everything we needed, and felt very comfortable and welcoming! The owners are very friendly and helpful. The house's location made for short, easy trips to the Farmer's Market, Payne's Creek, Sheep's Pond, etc. A wonderful spot to stay in Brewster!

Great spot for a family vacation

My family spent a week here last Summer and we had a blast. The house is so cozy and well appointed that we had everything we needed. Each day we made the very short drive to one of the many close beaches. We also enjoyed lots of great meals at some of the restaurants in the area. The highlight was purchasing some lobsters and cooking them up in the kitchen. Brewster is such a pleasant little town with all of the Cape Cod charm. I would highly recommend anyone to spend their vacation here.

Great Location!

we spent a week here last year and really enjoyed the home. It was comfortable and had everything that we needed. My husband and son got up early every morning and headed over to the bike trail which was nice and close. Beaches and all the great galleries etc., are super close, making this an ideal location for vacationing in Cape Cod. Owners were also very helpful, but let us do our own thing. Thanks for a great stay!
